  I once had the exact opposite.

  I voted Fidesz in 2010 with the hopes they will raise the age of consent. They lowered it to 12 if the older party is under 18.

  I got so angry I was shaking, and veins on my forehead were visible, just like that meme. When I tried to sleep, it didn’t work. I still tried to at least try, so I lay in the bed, seeing the sun rising. Eventually I had to go to college, after that finished, I slept for like 20 hours, and accepted my fell for it again award (they also didn’t make it easier for college students to get apprenticeship, so ultimately I ended up without a college degree, as I couldn’t get anything due to a multitude of factors).

  I had the opposite happen to me once back in my early 20s

  One time I was dead tired and could barely keep myself awake after working in an assignment due the next day. I finished past midnight and went to bed at 1am, I recall watching the clock before going to sleep since I had to set up an alarm for 8am or something.

  Thing is, I fell asleep immediately, then I woke up fully refresh before my alarm went off, I woke up feeling amazing, fully awake and ready to go. Then I checked the time… 1:50am. Since I couldn’t fall asleep again I watched some movies until my alarm went off and then went to class like nothing happened.

  Yes, I was tired very early the next day, but I still think of that night from time to time

    I used to routinely stay up 3 days in a row, at least once a year during my uni days to get a final assignment in on time^[First day is the worst, second gets better once you switch from caffeine to fruit, and third day you’re making stupid decisions like walking into traffic instead of waiting for the light]. I remember vividly after it was complete and I’d printed/binded/handed it in, I was on the train back home and saw weird shadows flickering across the carriage. Those flickering shadows followed me on my walk to the house, starting to creep in like oscillating blades at the edge of my vision, and when I finally got into bed and laid my head against the pillow that’s when the daggers closed in, and everything went black.

    Woke up 15 hours later feeling great.

  My little sister once told us that she sleeps.with her eyes open. My family was like uh no you dont we’ve seen you sleeping before. 100% convinced she said “yes I do, when I wake up my eyes are open”

  Had that when I had a surgery under general anesthesia. They injected something, for about 20 seconds nothing happened, and next moment I was in the ward and everything was already done. Just instant time skip.

    One of the first drugs they give you before surgery interferes with the formation of long term memories. There’s a good chance you were awake and aware for quite awhile after the first injection… you just couldn’t make long term memories about it.

  I had that happen with morphene once. Watched the needle for the drip go in, looked away for a second, looked back and it was already being removed because my procedure was done.

  You want to hear about a glitch? I once went to hospital, and it was a rough first night. The second night, I couldn’t sleep so I’d figure I’d grab a book and try some reading. I opened the book, and the text was flipping symbols like the Matrix … like each character was flipping. I couldn’t read it so I returned the book.

    That’s what books often do in dreams. Brain can’t really keep lots of text straight, so it’s a common sign that you’re dreaming.

  I have taken some fighting class where they taught us some techniques. After a few weeks of training the instructor put us through a scenario where he put on a RedMan suit and we had to fight him one by one.

  When it was my turn, I remember walking towards him. Next thing I remember the fight was over. I was standing in front of the instructor who had been apparently repelled and said in an impressed tone “that was a great elbow”.

  I have no idea of what I did but apparently it involved my elbow and it worked.

  I had that happen a few times when I was quite young. At least once, I did it on purpose. I had a sleepover with a friend and was excited for the next day and was impatient for the next day to arrive now. I fell asleep and woke up the next day seemingly instantly. No dreams. No perception of passage of more than like a second of time. Just instant morning.

  I mean, these things happen to a small subset of people so I can understand where the frame of reference gets skewed for you normies. For instance, every time my aunt babysat me, I’d immediately find myself in another place after dinner. Everything would hurt from the cold, but the police would help me get back home and even they couldn’t explain it to me, a “very brave kid” in their very words. Explain that, liberals.

  I’ve had a few, but I chock them up to being tired. Twice on the way to work early in the morning, the sky turned colors on my. Once it turned purple, the other it turned an aqua color. Then, while working night shift, I was looking up at the sky and saw what I thought was a shooting star make a 90° turn before disappearing. It had to be sleep deprivation, on every account.
