- Comment on Steam Quietly Withdraws Under Fire MMO Ashes of Creation From Sale As Fans Wonder Who's Left to Maintain the Servers 4 hours ago:
I was hoping it would become what they were trying to sell, but I had every expectation of it becoming everything that is wrong about MMOs. The biggest sign was demanding $100 for people to be alpha testers. You should be paying people that instead.

I generally don’t really like rap, but mumble rap just sounds lazy as shit. Like “I can’t even be bothered to open my mouth”. It’s also so stupidly monotone. I may just be an old man yelling at kids, but that’s music I will never understand.

I don’t know about England, but at least here in Denmark, many people who have served a sentence will get into a trade. Without a drivers license those jobs can be practically impossible to keep.
- Comment on Baldur's Gate 3 director agrees with No Rest for the Wicked lead that Early Access is "a positive thing" for games like their two RPGs – when it works 4 days ago:
While 7 days was tumultous at best, they’ve reached a pretty good point by now.
I do agree with you though, that having a proper direction and being clear about that direction to your fanbase makes for a much better early access period.
Like The Culling which completely ruined their own game because the devs thought they should move in one direction, but their fans and players thought the plan was completely different, having bought the game with a completely different direction in mind.
In the end though, having played quite a few good early access games, releasing a game in early access by Larian is fucking cheap. They have plenty money to make a full release without the early access injection. I see no reason why a succesfull studio like them would need it. Early access is fine for smaller devs. For some it could mean the difference between a hobby project and a full time job.

it wasn’t a “landing” they crashed their lander into the moon to measure seismic data. They basically did an orbital strike with a bus. It vibrated for a long time because there isn’t much to dampen the vibration when most of the surface is hard rock with no moisture.

I don’t think ignorance is wholesome. Ignorance leads to fear of the unknown, of which there are a lot. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to fascism.

I don’t wash windows, but that is me while walking anywhere public. I’ll be hugging a fucking wall trying to leave space for people, while they’ll walk in the middle of the god damn sidewalk and still bump into me. Why do people not value personal space?

So your proof is that a couple people on Reddit also think that?

“Physicial agression”, what the fuck have you been smoking? They said they pushed the cart away with their carts. Nothing agressive about that, wtf.

- Comment on [Serious] If a human is trained by AI slop and then they make something with their own hands, is it still art? 4 weeks ago:
I’m no art expert or anything but here’s my view.
1 and 2. Yes. You used tools to create the art, not all that different from using a pencil or paintbrush, or a tablet you didn’t create yourself. It was however your imagination that created it. It wasn’t generated from a couple of sentances, what was created was (depending on skill of couse) what you pictured it should be. You didn’t just generate 1000 possibilities and picked the prettiest one and called it yours.
- It would still require human imagination to create the art, so I would still deem it art.

Let’s assume it doesn’t hold your spot in the line. I see absolutely no reason why it wouldn’t, but whatever. I’d rather have to wait for a call for 3 hours, while doing literally anything else than sit and listen to their godawful elevator music, that stops every 20-ish seconds, just long enough to make you believe you’ve been put through.

Shit, my boss knows perfectly well that if he didn’t pay me, I’d be working for his competitor. It just so happens that I am widly nerdy about what we do, and absolutely love everything about my job, so I am willing to actually do it with a smile on my face, but there is an unspoken agreement, that the absolutely only thing that is actually getting me out of bed in the morning, is the fact that I get paid.
- Comment on The show I was watching went from "Free" to "Paid" *while I was watching it* 1 month ago:
Problem with that is, what happens when Stremio gets shut down like every other illegal streaming platform to date? What happens when they no longer want to host the stuff I like?
I like having the files locally, so that when streaming platforms die, og just decide not to waste server space on the stuff I like, I can still watch the shows and movies that are no longer avaliable anywhere.

Question. Are the knives really needed? I feel like getting hit with what is essentially a 5 foot long, 7 inch wide bullet, travelling at mach 1 would prove to be equally efficient at killing single targets, as strapping knives to it.
- Comment on It will be great, they said... 1 month ago:
Mostly to me it’s about the quality. Everything in focus is incredibly smooth, more so than you’d get with a normal camera or phone, while the background is blurred. This looks like a convension setting of some sort, they would’ve taken the photo with their scratched phone camera and posted it immidiately without trying to edit anything.
Also, the text is different on every board. The top 2 texts are oriented straight at the camera, while the bottom texts are angled a bit, but not angled equally. Indicating it wasn’t just copy pasted, but an attempt to get a new angle every time. This could just mean badly edited, but I’m going with AI on that part too, because someone badly editing a joke like this, would simply copy paste the first textbox after getting the angle sort of right.

Had a conversation with a coworker about why I won’t ever consider buying a Tesla, and first they denied Musk being a nazi, and then tried to play it off as “why does it even matter if he’s a nazi? It’s not like he’s hurting anyone, only jews need to be afraid of nazis”. Lost every single ounce of respect for that corworker today. Nazis don’t deserve to live, they absolutely fucking don’t deserve my money, and playing it off as: “at least his idealogi isn’t trying to murder you”, is just fucking insane.
