- Comment on After stretching the definition of 'beta' for 8 years, Escape From Tarkov is finally hitting 1.0 1 day ago:
I’ve been reading a lot of comments that make it sound like portal is a new thing, but it was in 2042 too and was incredibly underwhelming. Did something new happen with it that I don’t know about?
- Comment on Bunnyhop elsewhere, streamers: EA are making Battlefield 6 more strategic, less run-and-gun following the beta 3 days ago:
Those changes sound absolutely awesome. I’m really quiye optimistic that the devs have finally figured out what we need.
- Comment on monthly challenge 6 days ago:
Yes, that part is right, above comment doesn’t know how to read ‘greater than’ symbols.
- Comment on monthly challenge 6 days ago:
500> steps and <500 steps means the exact same thing though.
- Comment on They'd just appear out of nowhere 1 week ago:
Nope, you’re the only person ever to have seen this weird stuff. It’s probably a sign that you’re about to die.
- Comment on Anon thinks there is a bicurious double standard 1 week ago:
ehh… Sex toys are kind of a private and personal thing. I’m all for resusing and that, but I also wouldn’t expect someone to reuse my old partners underwear, or toothbrush.
- Comment on How did that 22-year-old get on in the date his dad set him up with? 1 week ago:
Your average person is pretty god damn gullible, and while most on Lemmy think they’re smarter than the average person, they’re not.
- Comment on Parallel Empires 1 week ago:
My Lenovo Legion from 2021 has 4 USB-A, 1 USB-C, 1 SD-Card reader, 1 minijack, 1 hdmi and 1 ethernet. They’ve absolutely nailed what is needed, maybe except the SD-Card, but I can kinda see a use for that for some people.

I love the destruction of the aux. It forced me to get a wireless headset, and I no longer have to bother untangling wires, or buying a new crappy headset every 2-3 weeks because the wires would break. Also, the quality of the sound in my wireless headset is waaaay better than any wired I ever tried.
Sure, they cost more, but the quality and convenience are so worth it, and I wouldn’t have done the switch if I hadn’t been forced.
- Comment on Anon wants to be Truman 1 week ago:
Going back to your home town to get shitfaced is a bad idea?
- Comment on U.K. cops are going undercover as joggers. Will it stop women runners from being harassed? 1 week ago:
But what if she/he/whatever doesn’t know they have a nice ass? How will I be able to go on with my day if I don’t make absolutely SURE they know?
- Comment on Incident 1 week ago:
Sure, but those 5 minutes add up in a whole daycare.
- Comment on Battlefield 6 cheats day 1 of early access. Depite kernel level anti cheat, forced secure boot TPM 2.0 2 weeks ago:
Just clear the CMOS.
I had issues aswell where I couldn’t boot, and you wanna know why? Because I didn’t follow the step by step instructions EA tells you to follow. Follow those instructions, and it’ll work just fine.

yea, that wasn’t milk…

Also seems wildly overkill to use an electron microscope for this.

Why did they take a screenshot, and then tilt the picture? Wtf is wrong with these people…

Vietnamese food just isn’t the same unless it comes from a far to small kitchen, with some ancient vietnamese couple yelling at each other. Can really taste that passion.
- Comment on The White House Rose Garden was replaced by pavement 3 weeks ago:
It also looks like something you’d find at a cheap, trashy resort where children poop in the pool.
- Comment on Jack Black 3 weeks ago:
Imagine growing up in the 80s or 90s wanting to be a great jounalist, and ending up doing this bullshit instead.
- Comment on Hate to see all the suffering 3 weeks ago:
You suck on the electricity REALLY hard. That makes an electrical vacuum. You can try it right now. Put your mouth on the charging port of your phone, and suck really hard. Now the difference in electrical levels will make your screen brighter while you suck.

With stuff like this the artist will print a template on special paper that will transfer ink to the skin. They then have a template to simply draw on.
- Comment on Sony calls Tencent game ‘slavish clone’ of Horizon in new lawsuit 3 weeks ago:
You’re right. Us, the consumers, will only ever benefit from more competition for our money. Also, the people who wanted to buy Horizon already did, if they like the theme and playstyle they may also buy this other one, but it’s not like Horizon is losing buyers on this.
- Comment on US education 3 weeks ago:
I suppose it isn’t completly a lie. It just takes 100 million years under some pretty specific circumstances, but there’s likely places where it’s currently being produced naturally right now…
- Comment on Oh yes... 4 weeks ago:
Agreed. We should restructure society to start around 10 am instead.
- Comment on Baby dies after California mom leaves him in car to get lip filler on 101-degree day, police say 1 month ago:
It does though. Leaving the baby in the car is the issue. The car manufacturer can’t be responsible for someone being a horrible parent, no matter if their manual said not to leave a baby in the car or not. It’s common sense not to do that.
- Comment on Baby dies after California mom leaves him in car to get lip filler on 101-degree day, police say 1 month ago:
Leaving a baby in a car for 90 minutes is neglect and dangerous no matter what features that car had.

- Comment on Modder behind the 'Swiss army knife of PC gaming' deletes their 20 year-old Steam account with anti-Valve manifesto: 'By the end of my bitter dealings with Valve… there was zero hope' 1 month ago:
I would field a guess, that this person is super angry about being left behind in the ever growing tech industry. Some of the complaints are valid, but directing them at specifically Valve seems super weird, since they are currently the best company concerning user-experience.
