I’m simply fucking baffled how they think their opinion matters in any fucking way, when they advocate for christofascism. They want every other woman to be breeding cattle, but expect themselves to be allowed opinions? Fuck outta here.

I felt I was taking crazypills. In what world does this headline and article not scream "These games are ruining lives because of extremely manipulative marketing tactics.
I assume the people who took this article as a personal attack are part of the 19%, but doesn’t want to realise they have a very serious problem.

- Comment on ‘A Minecraft Movie’ Mushrooms To $163M, Higher Than ‘Barbie’s Opening, Record For Videogame Pic; Warner Bros Brings The Box Office Back Alive – Update 2 weeks ago:
The people going in the first week are not going to give a shit wether it gets bad review. In fact, they’re probably doing everything they can to not see any reviews at all. The first week is only ever a measure of how effective the movie was advertised. In this case, the movie has been advertised for nearly 16 years. So they didn’t actually have to do much to pull people in.
Box office is super useless for determining how good a movie actually is.
- Comment on Are most people here left-wing? 2 weeks ago:
The rules are usually really quite simple. Don’t be a dick and don’t spread hate. If “right wing opinions” can’t stay out of those simple rules, they’re not right wing opinions, they’re bigots and that has never and will never be okay.
- Comment on LinkedIn’s cofounder Reid Hoffman says seeking work-life balance is a red flag that you’re ‘not committed to winning’ 2 weeks ago:
What they forget is that other people aren’t going to be as comitted to their business as they themselves are. They’re not going to care as much for the simple fact, that if the business takes off, they’re not going to earn any of the profits. Why would I work 50 hour weeks like the founder, if I don’t stand to actually reap the benefits?

Seems like the story in Legacy makes more sense, judging from the trailer.

I’ve never used those apps myself, but I think a factor is, how do you meet other people when you start working most of the day? Most of my friends who use dating apps, do so because meeting someone at the job is unrealistic, and in some fields, super dumb. So instead they’d have to hope to meet someone at an event or something, but after working a full week, they don’t want to go to events all over the city in the hope that they meet someone, especially not when datings apps are so readily available and easy to use.
I’m not sure when the shift happened, but I had many friends using dating apps mid 2010’s when they started working after highschool, for lack of a better option.

- Comment on Jagex Announces New Open World Survival Game: RuneScape: Dragonwilds 3 weeks ago:
My biggest issue with survival games is usually the lack of a goal. If Jagex treats this game the same way as OSRS or RS3 concerning quests, this could very well be a really nice experience. It could also very well be a very generic survival clone that adds absolutely nothing new to the genre.
It’s also not the first time Jagex has fucked up games. It often seems like they have absolutely no idea what makes OSRS and RS3 as good as they are, and at least for OSRS, the dedication of the mods seem to be the only reason the game isn’t dead.
I suppose we’ll have to wait and see which direction they take it.
