I like to call that place I go to in my brain when I’m not even having a thought “The Nothing Box”. The Nothing Box is where nothing happens. You climb into your little box, and it’s practically like being braindead. You don’t think, you don’t see, you don’t hear, and you don’t feel. You’re just nothing for a short little while until some asshole rips you out of your peaceful and quiet Nothing Box, complaining about you not listening, staring or whatever.
The nothing box is a magical place where you get to just chill for half a minute. Worries don’t matter, life doesn’t excist, all that is, is nothing.

I’ve been playing a lot of Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction lately, and the graphics are a huge part of what makes the game feel like it does. The remaster is really good, but it doesn’t really hit the same vibe. What the old game (and a loooot of other old games) needs is a whole buttload of quality of life features. Something different mods have done a very good job of taking care of for Diablo 2.

As a player who played RS2 back in 2004, and quit with the combat rework. Started playing OSRS in 2018, and tried RS3 last year. RS3 feels too cluttered with bullshit to feel nice to play. Everywhere you go, there’s some shiny, sparkling bunch of content doing everything it can to drop everything you’re going, and try it instead. It feels claustrophobic with the amount of crap littered literally everywhere. Like playing “ADHD the game”.
The graphics don’t really matter to me, but if they did, OSRS has graphical options, like the 117 HD mod, the HD client, and coming soon-ish (probably(maybe)) the new official client with a HD rework.
I don’t see what RS3 supposedly has, that would want me to play it, instead of OSRS.

Tbf to Jagex. An RS or OSRS character doesn’t need an alt in the same way you need to be able to have different builds in WOW.

Mine pass the surrounding noise through the microphone and back through the buds so I can hear my surroundings much better than if I wasn’t wearing them.

My vacuum is unfortunately connected to the internet. It doesn’t seem to have a clue what my house looks like though. It keeps fucking up the map, rotating it and then tries to drive through walls to get to non excisting rooms.

I used to care quite a lot about graphics, but as the years have passed, I find graphically beautiful games less pleasing than a lot of the older games. It all seems too rounded and smooth now. I’ve been playing a lot of Project Diablo 2 lately, but when the new character dropped for Diablo 2 Resurrected, I figured I should give that a shot. While the graphics are definately nice, and the gameplay is smooth, I prefer the older graphics, because the griddy, slightly pixelated world adds so much to the dark and gloomy theme.
I’ve also just absolutely had it with every single Unreal Engine game looking exactly the same. Did the devs just lose all individual artistry?
Sometimes less is just more.

There was no doubt in my school in NZ who was poor and who wasn’t, based on how someone’s clothes fit them or how worn they were. The youngest in a poor family would have some very worn clothes that had been passed down from their siblings. Often 2 sizes too big or too small.
