Pat Paulson had this bit on his show where he was the science guy and he would torture the young guy guest and try to make out with the young girl guest.
- Comment on Nuclear Demonology 1 week ago:
Richard Dawkins argued that agnostic is a meaningless term. He said that anyone who is given irrefutable proof of the existence of something and still refuses to believe is a fool and that non-theist is the better term for people that don’t buy into the whole god thing.

Physics books always say to assume the objects are points in doing calculations. Does the fact that the ball is thicker then the feather make a difference?

I think the important thing is to convince the person with the gun that the barrel will explode and kill them, not whether it does explode or not. That was what James Gardner did in the movie Support you local Sheriff.
- Comment on Those are so ugly. Who would even buy these... oh, right. 5 weeks ago:
You can get socks with rubber bits on the bottom to help with the slippery part, but that would not help with the rest.

A possibly important distinction is lost, though.

I assume flour can have a lot of moisture weight to it, which may change depending on the location or season. Weight is still the better measure, but still not perfect.

- Comment on Actors demand action over 'disgusting' video game sex scenes 2 months ago:
What do they mean sex scenes are common? None of the games I have played in the last couple years haves had those kinds of scenes. Some minor flirting and romance, but no sex.

It gives you the opportunity to examine it. I think that is the reason for the design.

A few games listed as gold for me ran fine on the Deck, but I was unable to play them because of unreadable font sizes. Some of these could be tweaked and there is always the magnifying glass tool, but I prefer them on the PC, which is still Windows.

- Comment on How many people actually want fully on-site IT jobs? 4 months ago:
I have only ever worked on-site jobs, so I am very used to it. The main plus for me is interacting with my co-workers. You run into the occasional jerk or someone having a bad day, but usually it is a great way to learn new things and gain different perspectives.
- Comment on $843 million lawsuit against Valve already has its own website: "The Steam Claim" accuses the biggest store in PC gaming of "overcharging" players 5 months ago:
I think that is the main point of the lawsuit, if developers sell their game on Steam they can’t sell it cheaper somewhere else. If Value gets 30% the developer has to raise the price a bit to compensate and they have to raise it everywhere. Outside of sales I don’t think most games that are not on Steam are much cheaper elsewhere, so not sure how this plays out.

3 of those aren’t dinosaurs, but I would go with the mosasaur. Giant sea snake that ruled the oceans.

Dystopian future with red speedos. Even having watched it I could not tell you what it’s about, except the title is the corruption of a children’s book title.
- Comment on We owe them 5 months ago:
I bet they feed it to dogs first. Or maybe pigs. The dogs would just scarf it down and then, in most cases, throw up if it was bad. The pigs would smell it or maybe give it an exploratory chew, but skip anything they detect as bad for pigs.
