- Comment on If corporations are the GOP and the GOP are corporations why isn't it assumed that corporations will stem inflation due to tarrifs while the GOP is in power even if its at loss? 1 day ago:
Walmart seems to be working with trump already to stem the losses. Walmart isn’t the only major player.

Because the GOP can help them in other ways like making massive tax cuts. They can also weaponize future price increases against the democrats who will take it on the back.

For sure but if I were a criminal cabal I would stem the bleeding until the democrats took power where you can then unload the consequences on them.

That’s already part of the plan but it loses weight if its happening under the current administration. That’s the way people precieve things, no matter if its right or wrong.

To consolidate power for the GOP.

Just do a quick job search. I know plenty of scientists.
- Comment on Dolph is prime human 2 days ago:
No, its a thing, people have the title “scientist.” Its just a job, tho.
- Comment on Dolph is prime human 2 days ago:
What do you guys think is so special about a scientist.
They measure things and record them really well. They apply scientific principles and such.
They use lab equipment and usually have a very narrow scope on the things they are working on.
Do you think every scientist gets a noble or something?

Youre not wrong, distinctually, but even in mathematics “/” is considered an operator.
- Comment on Even conservatives use to boast the virtue of achieving higher education. In MAGA times what is the pathway to success? 2 days ago:
Ok, true and thats always been behind the veil of conservatism but is that what they will tell their children?
What virtue will they signal?

1/2 <-- not a number. Two numbers and an operator.

=/ I get that.
The problem is diagnose is the democrats dont care to go after 60 seats. They are all too happy fighting over a plurality and maintaining the status quo. Its not inspired and will only ever edge you out wins as you fight over the same demographics that all hate you.

I tend to believe a society that turns inward on itself will only ever turn inward on itself until its completely gone.
In all likelihood the first bomb going off would be the end of it all. Anarchy. Destruction of every social contract.
- Comment on So if we're just good with careening into fascism 2.0 what does the future look like? 3 days ago:
The only efforts that matter going forward is for people now to giving up their own comfort to secure the future for others. Either we trust each other with our lives or we forfeit or futures to authoritarian rule. I maybe only have another 30-40 years left. 20 years of “healthy” living. Its not me who’s losing out big.
Id happily donate those years to a cause that was real and not just talk.

I thought the dems could save us in 2016. I then believed they would save us in 2020. The last chance I gave them was 2024.
Ill vote in their direction only in the hopes they can hit the brakes but overall, they prove again and again they enable this shit and take no interest in stopping it.
