Shit, At this point we the tax evader gang to rise up. Like wtf am I even paying federal taxes for at this point?? I live in a deep blue state for a reason and every opportunity to remove federal funding is being taken, I’ve been kicked off my disability benefits (I have cystic fibrosis and I’m post lung transplant with debilitating PTSD from both) I also happen to be a woman who’s country is actively disenfranchising her, yet I’m paying federal taxes? For what?? No taxation without representation and I’m sure as fuck not being represented

They’re good only for finding deficits. I score well enough across the board, except my sequential memory, like you tell me five numbers then ask me to repeat them back in order a minute later and I cannot do that, basically doesn’t exist. I’m certainly smart enough to get by so I don’t really care about the positive scores but having proof I had a learning disability was critical for me to get the help I needed in school. Being perceived as smart often makes people believe you have to be smart in every possible way. So IQ tests have their uses, but like Steven Hawking said “people who boast about their IQs are losers”

If you’re willing to go “you’re absolutely right! What a good point!” everything the person talking to aligns with you even a little bit like “you’re absolutely right, you work so hard it’s completely unfair you’re taxes are so high… and the taxes of the wealthy are so low in comparison!” they feel smart and validated and might not even notice you tacked on your own commentary and also avoid buzz words it’s actually not that difficult to talk to people in an effective way.

They’re trying to crash the country they don’t care how so the billionaires can carve it up into city states. This isn’t a secret this, Peter Thiel and his ilk have been pretty open about this plan.

- Comment on I am someone who works out daily and sweats a lot. Just doing laundry doesn't seem to adequately clean the underarms of my shirts. What are some ways to clean these areas of my clothing better? 1 week ago:
Soak every once in a while in oxyclean/generic oxyclean you can also use a laundry sanitizer, Lysol makes one now I use it because we have well water that’s kinda stinky and it works great for that. Between these two things stains and smell have no chance. Air drying workout wear can also help with smell and color as well as longevity of the clothes.

- Comment on Why it is that in the USA for most people the default color for a casual sock is white but in most other places the default is black? 1 week ago:
I’ve lived in the PNW my whole life and I feel like we have no sock rules here. You’re as likely to see a plain white athletic sock as a thin black business sock as you are knee high rainbow socks or colorful patterned socks
- Comment on Why it is that in the USA for most people the default color for a casual sock is white but in most other places the default is black? 1 week ago:
Causal in the US used to mean athletic and athletic socks, tube socks especially, were invented in white in the 70s. Before fast fashion options like tube socks clothes were more formal and expensive reserved for school or work and (I guess this part is related to trends) a black sock would be far less jarring peeking out from a dark suit pant than white. Dark suits go back to the 1800s France I believe, maybe not quite that late. So it’s a combination of established fashion norms for men, the rise of fast fashion and tube socks and of women’s adoption of pants/women entering the work place which coincided with the rise of fast fashion. Prior to that women tended to wear stockings or wool socks which don’t tend to be bright white.
I can’t speak for athletic or casual socks outside the US but in the US this is why. From my experience much of Europe has had very strict fashion rules compared to the US, like my French ex who literally will not wear shorts unless he’s at the beach or pool because it’s a faux pas and only wears black socks on a daily basis.

- Comment on Why are there so many more mtf trans vs ftm trans people?? 1 week ago:
It is often more acceptable for a woman to present in culturally “masculine” ways, so individuals may feel that they don’t need to do anything beyond that for their personal path. It is unusual for men to be accepted for presenting in culturally “feminine” ways, and thus trans women may need to do more than some trans men do, including actually declaring themselves trans rather than quietly passing (which is why is possible it’s purely a reporting issue).
Very good point. A HUGE underlying current of transphobia is misogyny. Historically women are the scapegoat class. The idea that a lowly woman would want to be a man only seems natural in this scenario. Little girls are encouraged to do “boy things” while little boys are often discouraged, disciplined or even outright abused for doing “girl things”. There’s a strict enforcement of male centric norms being superior so women do have more “freedom” to explore that realm as where men are ostracized at the slightest indication of femininity because it’s inherently “below” his assigned station - that’s why transphobes need to obsess over genitals, it’s critical for them to enforce this sharp misogynistic divide, man good, woman bad there for woman aspiring to masculinity good, man aspiring to femininity bad and disgusting. Strict enforcement of gender roles is both misogynistic and transphobic.

- Comment on Has anyone ever actually had their vehicle tabs stolen? 1 week ago:
I got pulled over by a cop for “expired tabs” because I was out of state and my husband had not put them on my car while I was gone and I didn’t realize. The cop walks up loudly states YOURE BEING RECORDED, points to his camera and tells me my tags are expired and he wanted my info. I had my license but not insurance on me so I had to call my spouse who’s like “can’t the cop just look it up?” The cop came up as my husband was talking heard a man and was immediately defeated hung his head said he didn’t care and walked away like wtf??

Apparently most people can’t do any complex movements or actions in dreams because your dreaming brain can’t coordinate it. I can’t drive a car normally but I CAN drive a car by steering it while sitting in the back seat in my dreams, I guess pedals and steering is too much.
