I used to work pathology. One day, we received 2 testicles from the OR, both from young men younger than me. The first one was removed with the listed reason being torsion. It got twisted. Makes sense. Heard of that. The other one was removed for a reason I didn’t really think possible. The poor guy FRACTURED his testicle. I can only imagine the pain he was going through.

It was bad enough that they had that little notch on the VMU holder the cable could sit in to mimic coming out the top.

Sounds kinda like programmer jobs where they ask for a code for a problem they have but don’t actually give anyone the job.

Tell that to Mrs. Eiffel, the woman who married the Eiffel Tower and had (has?) a relationship with her bow, Lance, which she attributes to her becoming a world class archer.

Last I heard it was after the Alex Pretti killing. He was beaten without ever drawing his legally obtained firearm he had in the small of his back. During the beating, ICE found the firearm, disarmed him, and then proceeded to execute him in the street. After the killing, a bunch of room temperature IQ Republicans said he shouldn’t have brought his legally obtained (gonna keep stressing that) firearm to a “peaceful protest.”
If there’s anything else along to their apparent effort of pulling back on the 2nd Amendment, well, I haven’t been informed.

The one blemish on my resume is a job I stayed at for a month. I was hired for one job but was told I had to start on a lower job just to get the swing of things. Fine enough. When I started in the position I was hired for, another person in the “entry” job confronted the supervisor about his promises to do the job I was hired for. On another occasion, the big boss (wasn’t a very large business. Most of the higher ups were family) comes in and says “Due to the high amount of samples, we need to work Saturday. I’ll start with volunteers” I took that as (and my coworkers verified) "If nobody volunteers, I’m going to start forcing. " I ended up leaving after one month, no notice. When I left, the supervisor told me he had hoped to put me in another position they were making. Nope. Didn’t work for me. I had left a note saying it was pretty messed up that the coworkers were lied to. Best thing I did. Went to another business for a year and left under more amicable circumstances. Now I’m happy in a job where I’ve been for the past 11 years.

A lot of games have made things better with paid updates/expansions, but NMS really seems to be the only one where the free updates have fixed the game. Hell, there were jokes going around with the last big free update that people wanted to pay them more for all these free updates.

Are they still parading Kirk’s likeness? This goes beyond just “sad.” This is straight-up pitiful. Nobody else has even the baseline for being recognizable for them.

Something to remember about situations like this where time is of the essence, don’t just yell “Someone call 911/for help!” Actually DESIGNATE someone from the crowd to do so. The bystander effect assumes that someone else will do it. Don’t let people think like that. While doing CPR, you’re told to point specifically at someone to call for assistance. Same goes for something like this.
