She’s five, will you give her some time? Jeez…
Anyone can be born gay, but fashion? That takes years to master!
boreengreen@lemm.ee 1 month ago
Probably she just does not want to wear that dress.

My sister was saying to me that her 8yo said to her that she’s gay, and my sis didn’t knew how to react because she couldn’t believe an 8yo would know if she’s gay. I told her that didn’t matter if she’s gay or not, what matter if you support her or bot. If you accept her as gay, she’s going to felt validated and would trust you as growing up, if you don’t believe her and try to force heterosexuality in her she’s going to hate you eventually, if not for that for any other reason.

kids are really dumb sometimes, words are hard
ameancow@lemmy.world 1 month ago
Yah but what use is it for kids to say weird things if we can’t have 3000+ comment-deep debates about every possible angle of it online? This is what the internet is best for, completely dismantling every benign situation until nobody even knows why everyone hates each other now.

But extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. I require extraordinary evidence to believe that checks thread again a five year old had a tantrum about a dress in Target.

What a fucking dumbass, I’m gay and wear dresses all the time
TankovayaDiviziya@lemmy.world 1 month ago
Plenty of kids already know if they are gay or not. In my home country, I have had classmates in elementary school who are openly gay. Some cultures find it awkward to talk about it to children, whereas in some, tolerance and acceptance to lgbt is part of culture. I probably don’t need to mention about the concept and existence of third genders since the ancient times.

I’ve heard this before, and don’t get it. I mean, sure, I’m a late bloomer, I was about 20 when I figured out my sexuality and even older when I figured out my gender. But people don’t experience attraction before puberty, right? How do they know what groups of people they’ll grow up to be attracted to?

Well, we all have crushes when we were kids, don’t you agree?
