I agree. Doom 1 and doom 2 are like exactly the same fun level as Doom Eternal, just in a different way.
Tbh I didn’t like “Doom (2016)” that much. I’m sure when it came out it was amazing considering doom 3 was the most recent thing, but I played Doom Eternal first and compared to the FUN of eternal, it just doesn’t stand up to the “rip that guy in half then latch on that demon with a flaming chain on my double barreled shotgun so I can use a Lazer balista to shoot that other demons head off while in midair to go chainsaw the flying meatballs eyesocket” - Comment on What are some old games that are hard to revisit, because a more modern and superior version exists? 1 day ago:

just a reminder that you live in a different culture than the average video game player. I haven’t even completed GTA5 and aren’t in the circle of GTA players. Hell, the funnest part for me is driving in a really big circle while listening to music, but as out of touch as I am, I know it’s really REALLY hyped

This is unironically one of my favorite memes because it fits me SO WELL:
On Minecraft I have ~150 days playtime on PC, after switching to Prismlauncher (after some development drama) I have another ~22 days playtime. Along with my 1300 hours on switch it’s a total of 234.5 DAYS looking at pixelated blocks in a children’s game.that’s not even including my time in PE edition from when I was little or the multiple years I spent in Lunar client which doesn’t track playtime. In total it’s probably WELL over a whole year of JUST Minecraft.
I ALSO have 9154 hours in other steam games and 1500 MORE in animal crossing
I do also have minor autism.
