    I just say “occupied” with a certain degree of annoyance like “I’m in here now and I know you’re out there and I’ll do my best to be out shortly but my body might do some weird stuff and I’ll be in here as long as I need to be”.

      I was going to say that I say “occupied” because I’m used to Spanish “ocupado”. Up until then I was never sure in English despite it being my native language.
