They’ve always existed, they just have been given a label in recent times. Can’t say what they were like that long ago since there was no internet and I wasn’t alive until '85. I’m guessing they were just seemingly regular miserable bastards instead of the loud obnoxious ones you see online, since they had no platform to be loud about their bullshit.

I used to watch Get Smart, F Troop, Bonanza, and some other old ass show from my dad’s time on Nick At Night growing up. I know at some point they starter showing Sienfeld and Friends and Will and Grace on it after I grew up.

A lot of people I hear IRL complaining about wait times are also the kinds of people that go to the ER for a non-emergency. Of course you’re gonna be waiting a long time at the ER if the only thing you’re there for is you have a cold. That’s for serious, life-threatening shit snd triage would treat you the same whether you had to pay or not.
