OMG same, yes!
- Comment on Serious statement: I don't understand the argument that not voting for Harris was the morally correct thing to do, because of Gaza. Why does anyone believe this? 2 weeks ago:
Yes, this is how I felt. I would rather not choose to vote for the ‘lesser of two evils’ and pretend that’s good. It’s not just Gaza though, it’s corporatism, war profiteering, and terrible policy.
I would rather see the system collapse and possibly die in the process than support another shitty government even if it’s the less shitty one.

This comes from review guides, so yeah, they are literally sent by the company with a set of talking points and things to mention.
- Comment on Oblivion Horse Armour dev looks back on hated DLC – “We had no idea what we were doing” 5 weeks ago:
I was working in the industry at the time and people absolutely talked about the implications of microtransactions and how it would result in more expensive games and being nickel and dimed.
Like, I distinctly remember conversations with actual human beings from exactly the horse armor DLC and maybe we didn’t think it was going to result in, say the online shooter battle pass formula exactly, but we without ambiguity understood that meaningful in game items, and things like levels / experience would be monetized.
The biggest shocks to me were how patches would be used to reduce the game testing cycles, enabling companies to print incomplete or broken versions of games, requiring day one patches.
It’s a disgusting practice now, and it was then too.

Such weird reasoning - people ask because they don’t know outside of their own limited perspective and what they can infer from their idea of the values of their peers.
You should absolutely ask, no shame.

Sorry, I meant the OUI ( was going by memory ) . It’s the part that you can look up that tells your what kind of device the MAC address belongs to.

Get the MAC address from the ARP table, and look up the OIN, should help you determine if it’s virtual or physical, and if physical the type of NIC it’s using.

Nintendo doesn’t have a legal right to go after NES clones in the States because the patent on the NES expired and anyone is legally allowed to make perfect duplicates of NES hardware.
The only legal ground Nintendo has is software copyright for games they published and / or licensed ( probably just published )

From Western media in English. You’re in a cultural and linguistic bubble online where people who think like you ( or within an expected range of dissenting opinions ) post and respond.
The ideas and values you see and even have fall into a range that believe it or not is different in other communities, often segregated by language.
It’s hard to explain if you’re a monolinguist, but the language you speak includes ideas and cultural nuance for idea that doesn’t often cross the language and cultural boundaries.

I’m upset that they’ve made this decision to be honest. It means the physical release is incomplete and this is bad for have preservation, so I have the opposite feelings.

Honestly if you’re living in a Western country, you are a victim of major anti North Korean propaganda that goes all the way back to the Korean War.
Like, North Korea is nowhere near as bad as people think, and it’s people are fairly happy, yes the government censors and controls media, but it also creates a unified and strong society with far less division than all these Western countries tearing themselves down the middle about which party is less evil.

It happens yes, but I stopped because I understood that insects / mold / organisms grow on fruit and vegetables, so I think of it as gross now, but it beat a hairbrush handle.

I took out a loan, but the service request was in my partner’s name. It’s my phone, but now I’m getting crazy crypto spam WhatsApp stuff in her name, along with home security spam and other spam I never got before. Since it’s coming to my phone, in their name, either or both companies sold me / us out and we were getting calls within days.
- Comment on UK Retailer GAME To End All In-Store Video Game Sales 4 months ago:
It wasn’t even that long ago. I bought tons of discrete parts from RadioShack like, even up to 8 or 9 years ago. They had these drawers full of things, pots, LEDs, ICs, sensors, motors, dials.
