You don’t want actual actively boiling water to make your tea. Also, water heated to just below boiling and cooled off from boiling to just below boiling is the same temperature.

There’s no tiny coffee machine in there? Put water in with no filter/grounds and it should heat up just right

- Comment on Valve's new hardware will NOT be loss leaders 1 week ago:
No, it just means a console that doesn’t support booting directly into a general-purpose OS isn’t a PC.
- Comment on Valve's new hardware will NOT be loss leaders 1 week ago:
A clever enough person can get a useable general-purpose OS running on just about any hardware. The entire point is that it’s user-friendly out of the box.
- Comment on Valve's new hardware will NOT be loss leaders 1 week ago:
I said “with a few button presses,” not “after hacking it and booting from external media.”
- Comment on Valve's new hardware will NOT be loss leaders 1 week ago:
None of those consoles would directly boot into desktop Linux with just a few button presses.

Nope, it’s not going back to the employees.
Also, she’s been donating billions of that fortune for years now.
This isn’t news.

- Comment on fragile masculinity 1 week ago:
Oh, so there are also trellises of some sort. What else is there? It’s also still it quite clear how this is configured - are these frustra surrounding each plant? Because that sounds like a lot of work for each tomato.
As for hornworms, best we’ve found is a daily sweep with a jar of soapy water for ritual executions.

Nope. As I said, the US customarily uses US customary units.

Imperial is a British thing, and the quantities differ significantly from US customary.

To be fair, fractions are inherently superior
- Comment on The heat... I mean the cold... well, it’s palpable! 2 weeks ago:
No, it’s just because the US never really converted to the metric system. Degrees Fahrenheit are zeroed at the freezing temperature of brine, and there are exactly 180 degrees from freezing to boiling water because that was an easy number to divide (like the 360 degrees in a circle).
- Comment on The heat... I mean the cold... well, it’s palpable! 2 weeks ago:
Nothing, but it can have a lot to do with force, for which pounds is the US customary unit.
