Sounds like OP would hate your soup
- Comment on Why does everyone put celery in soup stock? 1 day ago:
Yeah, and the flavor doesn’t stand out if it breaks down all the way. Their mention of crunch was a clue that they encounter chunks of it, which I agree are nasty in soup.
- Comment on Why does everyone put celery in soup stock? 1 day ago:
If the celery in soup is crunchy or even detectible as celery, the soup is being made wrong. It should melt into the dish along with the onions and garlic. The only part of the mirepoix/trinity that should possibly be detectable should be the bell pepper or carrot, and even then they should be very broken down and no longer have a distinct flavor by themselves.

- Comment on Why do some people have so many tabs open on their browser? 2 weeks ago:
They’re there for a reason. Once the context no longer exists - the task is complete, the partnership has lapsed, or I’ve decided that my cup of fucks runneth dry - I will close the relevant tabs, or even the entire window.

Months, even.
- Comment on Why do some people have so many tabs open on their browser? 2 weeks ago:
And what about when I don’t need it any more? Just leave them all in there, eventually cluttering up my bookmarks even worse than the tab situation?
- Comment on Why do some people have so many tabs open on their browser? 2 weeks ago:
Why spend all that time making and deleting bookmarks when I can just leave some tabs open? Also, too many sites are poorly designed and the desired data can’t be directly accessed from a URL.
- Comment on Why do some people have so many tabs open on their browser? 2 weeks ago:
I can almost never find things in my browser history. I keep windows with relevant tabs open on separate workspaces.

You don’t want actual actively boiling water to make your tea. Also, water heated to just below boiling and cooled off from boiling to just below boiling is the same temperature.

There’s no tiny coffee machine in there? Put water in with no filter/grounds and it should heat up just right

- Comment on Valve's new hardware will NOT be loss leaders 4 weeks ago:
No, it just means a console that doesn’t support booting directly into a general-purpose OS isn’t a PC.
- Comment on Valve's new hardware will NOT be loss leaders 4 weeks ago:
A clever enough person can get a useable general-purpose OS running on just about any hardware. The entire point is that it’s user-friendly out of the box.
- Comment on Valve's new hardware will NOT be loss leaders 4 weeks ago:
I said “with a few button presses,” not “after hacking it and booting from external media.”
- Comment on Valve's new hardware will NOT be loss leaders 4 weeks ago:
None of those consoles would directly boot into desktop Linux with just a few button presses.

Nope, it’s not going back to the employees.
Also, she’s been donating billions of that fortune for years now.
