For enjoy
For a while in the 80s and 90s, we had a rival 7-11 chain called 6-12, with similar font and color scheme.
the rivals I remember were the Circle K
I wonder what it means but I don’t care enough to look it up…
Strange things are afoot at the Circle K.
That must have been a regional thing. I don’t remember 6-12 at all.
4-twenty was right there tho
The last N in 7-eleven’s logo is lowercase, so this is legally distinct.
DYK 7-11 was named such because if was open 7am to 9pm.
I figured it was because it was open 7 days a week for 11 hours per day…
Southland Corporation changed the stores’ name to 7-Eleven in 1946 to reflect their expanded hours of operation (7 a.m. to 11 p.m.).
11 hours a day would be 7 AM to 6 PM
7am to 9pm is 14 hours.
Pardon meant 11pm, Freudian slip.
