That looks much better. I already use uBlock Origin, but now I will disable JS by default too ig!

I sometimes use Tails, but the fact that it wipes every files on shutdown is kinda annoying imo
- Comment on 2 weeks ago:
I guess I will disable it too!

Good point!

I think that disabling JS is worth the price (imo), that doesn’t annoy me very much Also, I believe tracker blockers can sometime fail to block fingerprinting scripts cause they’re could come from unknown domain

- Comment on What exactly is the security of direct messages on lemmy? Does anyone actually use matrix? 3 weeks ago:
Direct messages on Lemmy (and most Fediverse platforms) are not end-to-end encrypted, which means that it’s stored in plain.
For example, your instance admin could theoretically see your private messages. I don’t think they check it tho, but if that’s a concern for you, then you should not share any sensitive details in your DMs. Also, don’t worry: random people cannot see it
Matrix is way better for that: it’s a decentralized communication platform, end-to-end encrypted, so only you and your recipient can read the messages.
I think it’s kinda the “Fediverse of messaging”

- Comment on Have you know? 3 weeks ago:
Imo, this heavily depends on the usage of AI: if you use it for everything, even for things you could do yourself, then yes, obviously that’s just stupid.
However, if you use it as a tool to help you, but don’t use it to replace your brain, Internet or whatever, then I think this is perfectly fine!
