I guess that’s the idea. I’m just saying it’s normal for most people not to need lifelong advanced math skills. It’s also normal for people to not like or be good at math. I really found geometry to be intuitive, but algebra was opaque.

I don’t remember very much of “Of Mice and Men”, and I don’t remember very much of the math I learned in school either. I’m not mad about having learned/read that stuff, but I also don’t feel bad about not remembering/using it since.

Duly noted. Blocking this one along with the other serial whiners.

- Comment on Is there anything Lemmy has more/better content for than Reddit and other mainstream sites? 5 weeks ago:
Plenty of people don’t like it, and plenty of them block it all out… but love it or hate it there is a lot of communist and anarchist discussion here. I was on Reddit for a long time and never found so many people interested in leftist discourse so far outside of the liberal mainstream.

It’s funny, but not surprising how much you’re down voted here. The meme is heavily upvoted for equating (presumably US) imperialism and (presumably Chinese) authoritarianism. But give an example of how much worse the US is, and people who pretend to hate imperialism fall over themselves to defend the US.

Be sure to consider that the past examples of US imperialism were widely supported by Americans just like you. In hindsight, we can often see more clearly since we aren’t immersed in the contemporary propaganda.

No. He did the right thing.

Doesn’t make the people any less dead. Society has let them get away with mass murder for too long. Let’s hope that this is the beginning of a change.
- Comment on Oh... is that what your corporate security detail is for? Passive resistance? 1 month ago:
Think of all the people that die needlessly due to their insurance claim denials. That is mass murder in the name of profit.

Hey, chasing republican votes didn’t work this time, but I’m sure it will next time. Definitely don’t try appealing to the left.

Stop remaking movies and sequels nobody asked for! Fucking hell, pay writers for original material.

I have never been in a domicile in Texas that did not have something Texas-shaped in plain view.
- Comment on Ouch my texicles 2 months ago:
Texas is the most self-obsessed state. California isn’t too far behind, but I imagine Alaska and Hawaii are both contenders for 2nd place as well.

That’s because it was in it’s money-losing “growth” phase. The Facebook we have today was always the point.

I’m not talking about “Liberalism”, I’m talking about “liberals”. They aren’t driving me crazy because of some obscure philosophical tenets, though “scarcity harm reduction” might do it.

I genuinely don’t know how to take this comment. Is it serious? Is it ironic? I’ve dealt with a lot of angry liberals today, so I feel it could be serious. On the other hand it’s giving ::Randy Marsh in handcuffs:: and so I think it might be a bit.

I vibe with both anarchists (cool, helpful) and communists (smart, boring). Liberals drive me crazier everyday.
