mariusafa@lemmy.sdf.org 11 hours ago
52413 anyone?
LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 1 hour ago
I was sad that I didn’t learn that until high school. Never drew a star any other way after that. The young woman who taught me I can’t remember, but the star… I’ll always remember haha
Krauerking@lemy.lol 5 hours ago
You start with a straight line. It literally makes the most sense cause it decides the size of the star as well.
BlueMagma@sh.itjust.works 26 minutes ago
You meant vertical I think, but get it, this order makes sense even though it wasn’t my first instinct
TheRealKuni@lemmy.world 5 hours ago
Any of them are straight lines and decide the size of the star. Some of us are more refined and can handle diagonal sizing.
Dry_Monk@lemmy.world 4 hours ago
This is the correct order. 5-to-2 sets the width of the star, which is important when writing multiple identical stars next to each other.
salacious_coaster@infosec.pub 5 hours ago
Yes. I can only imagine Light Yagami doing 52413 in the Death Note
spicehoarder@lemmy.zip 11 hours ago
I like this method because it let’s me angle the star however I want
grueling_spool@sh.itjust.works 9 hours ago
This, because it’s how i remembered it being drawn in Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land
Mr_Dr_Oink@lemmy.world 4 hours ago
13524 feels natural to me without testing it.
DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 3 hours ago
Because it is and all these others are heresy.

spankmonkey@lemmy.world 15 hours ago
I do it this way because it is the closest to how I was taught to write letters.
ChicoSuave@lemmy.world 16 hours ago
Heretics are where I would expect lots of experience in expressing sigils

418_im_a_teapot@sh.itjust.works 10 hours ago
Out of curiosity, how do you write a capital letter A?
captain_aggravated@sh.itjust.works 10 hours ago
I think this is the left-handed way.
ccunning@lemmy.world 18 hours ago
Really?! 524135
…also, whoever did 13542 is fired.
SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 hour ago
I scrolled too far to see this… I didn’t know people were doing stars so differently.
pennomi@lemmy.world 17 hours ago
Yeah I start at the 5, clockwise.
TheHotze@lemmy.world 17 hours ago
I do the same, although I am a righty.
gofsckyourself@lemmy.world 11 hours ago
I’ve never really thought about it that hard, but I have noticed that a lot of times I have trouble getting the star to fit the spot I intended and it winds up being squished and/or lopsided. I’ve always used 13524, but 52413 makes a lot of sense for solving that issue.
RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 2 hours ago
I thought this was a bolt tightening pattern and wondered why anyone cared where they started.

Left handed?
dastanktal@lemmy.ml 12 hours ago
No but I’ve been told the way I hold my pens is similar to the way left handed people right. Rather than push the pencil along the page I drag it. Resulting in my hand kind of looking like a ‘C’ when I’m write

Do you write left-handed? I do, and this is my sequence too.

No, I’m right handed

53142 Am I crazy?
liquorisquicker@sh.itjust.works 9 hours ago
I am also crazy and most of my stars end up inverted.
Rooty@lemmy.world 4 hours ago
Wait, are we sharing how to do the LBRP or how to draw cartoon stars?
Madison420@lemmy.world 15 hours ago
The order is what is bothering you guys not that the Pentagons sides aren’t equal length and the triangle leans right?
HonoraryMancunian@lemmy.world 13 hours ago
I mean they’re really hard to draw perfectly
Madison420@lemmy.world 12 hours ago
Presumably they have access to the Internet, finding one that isn’t obviously wrong doesn’t seem like it would be that difficult.

I think the op medium- level comment is just a typo of this, otherwise wtf is 13542?
And I’m shocked I’m the first one to say this, surely this is by far the most common way?
Numuruzero@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 hours ago
I’m 25314. It’s just easiest to start with a perfectly horizontal line
Tetsuo@jlai.lu 17 hours ago

Sunflier@lemmy.world 18 minutes ago
I’d draw it 413524, but I’d readi it as 13524.
