- Comment on Spectre Divide shutting down six months after launch reminds us how hard it is to make a live-service game 2 weeks ago:
Because they’re designed to suck up as much time as possible. You can easily have half the time soent in live service games but not half of the gamers playing a live service title at any given time.
- Comment on Steam Deck / Gaming News #4 2 weeks ago:
Not even the same quality, piracy is often better either because they combined multiple sources to get better quality or because streaming services won’t even give you the quality you pay for without jumping through their hoops. To the second point, Netflix stopped supporting pcm 5.1 audio on their desktop app so unless I have to pirate the shows I’m paying for unless I want to watch in stereo.

Punters?
- Comment on Eurogamer: we can't recommend the PC version of Monster Hunter Wilds 3 weeks ago:
DP is working fine for me, it could have been a botched upgrade and got just have to try again (or DDU)
- Comment on Eurogamer: we can't recommend the PC version of Monster Hunter Wilds 4 weeks ago:
It seems better on launch with the nvidia driver for it than it was during the first open beta but I think they’re right with the overly aggressive culling and texture streaming causing issues. They said it’s still more than playable at 4k60 with my 3080ti and I’m having a blast

They got too big and just feel like a vehicle to sell merch now
- Comment on [deleted] 4 weeks ago:
Yeah after reading that I used tracker.gg to look at my match history and it seems like around 1 in 10 quick play matches were bot matches, I watched the replay of one and it was pretty obvious. No competitive matches at least
- Comment on [deleted] 4 weeks ago:
I hear people say this but I’ve yet to see it, usually just toxic people calling the losing team bots
- Comment on NetEase reward US-based developers of live service hit Marvel Rivals by sacrificing their jobs to "efficiency" 5 weeks ago:
The US and Japan dev teams aren’t the only people working on it, there’s still the “core” team in China, though still doesn’t seem like a good move
- Comment on Multiverse 1 month ago:
I’d argue that multiverse theory being true would be a property of the multiverse, not a property of any individual universe, but the ‘infinity not including all possibilities’ part is true too
- Comment on [deleted] 1 month ago:
If all the people censoring everything got together maybe they could too
- Comment on Why do so many UK electrical sockets have an on/off switch next to them? 1 month ago:
I mean there can be either outlets or light fixtures connected to them, generally the switched outlets have lamps plugged in though.
- Comment on Why do so many UK electrical sockets have an on/off switch next to them? 1 month ago:
It’s not about having a switch it’s about having the switch right next to the plug instead of next to the doorway (where it usually is in the US)

Yeah I’m surprised nobody else mentioned CS, it’s kind of the eternal FPS in my mind

I think he was wondering if the text was too. Pretty sure it’s a real (or at least not generated) post about a fake picture
- Comment on Anon goes to therapy 2 months ago:
Not to mention that going from ‘so pathetic nobody would ever want to fuck you’ to ‘so pathetic the only way you can get laid is by paying for it’ isn’t much of an upgrade

Threw it into some shitty online ai translator since google translate doesn’t support aramaic and used the same one to translate it back. Here’s what it spit out (no formatting because fuck you I don’t want to)
Once someone told me, the world is destined to turn, I am not wise in stone tools. She appeared foolish, with her finger pointing to a ‘L’ on her forehead. Yet the years begin to come and do not halt, consumed by rules while I run from the land. It makes no sense to live in pleasure, how can a wise man emerge when your head is in folly? There is so much to do, so much to see; what is wrong with traveling inner paths? You won’t know if you don’t go, you won’t shine if you don’t take care. Be now, you are a star. Sit in your game, go play. Be now, you are a rock star. Bring the show, receive a reward. All that glistens is gold, only falling stars shatter the form. It is a fine place, and they say it will cool down; you are now wrapped, wait until you mature. But the mighty meteors think otherwise, according to the hole in the dualistic picture. The ice we slide on is very thin, the waters are enclosing and you must swim. My world is on fire; what about you? Thus, I love it and do not tire. Be now, you are a star. Sit in your game, go play. Be now, you are a rock star. Bring the show, receive a reward. All that glistens is gold, only falling stars shatter the form. (Go to the moon, go, go) (Go to the moon, go, go) (Go to the moon) (Go, go, go to the moon). Be now, you are a star. Sit in your game, go play. Be now, you are a rock star. Bring the show, receive a reward. And all that glistens is gold, only falling stars; someone once asked, ‘Can you leave me a bit of coal? I need to escape this place.’ I said, ‘Yes, what an idea, I need a bit of fuel.’ And we all need a little change. So, the years begin to come and do not stop, consumed by rules while I run from the land. It makes no sense to live in pleasure, how can a wise man emerge when your head is in folly? There is so much to do, so much to see; what is wrong with traveling inner paths? You won’t know if you don’t go (go!) you won’t shine if not…

Kelvin doesn’t have degrees btw you just say 50K or 100K because it’s an absolute temperature scale as opposed to an arbitrary or relative one like Fahrenheit or Celsius. I’d expect that the energy would be double though that’s more of a feeling.

Sure but I’m not going to buy a PS5 just to not have to buy the game from the epic game store
