Get/create a solar backpack with a powerbank instead. That way weight is less of a concern and you can charge it when the sun is actually out without looking like a weirdo 😅

- Comment on Are autistic people known to post a lot in social media or websites to "fill" their imaginations? 1 day ago:
Many communities have one or two members where the frequency of posts leads me to believe that definitely something must be going on but I don’t know for sure what it is and honestly those people are the backbone of Lemmy, usually posting high quality stuff all day like it’s their job. I have no reason to look into it further 😄

Hunger often goes away after a little while if you don’t pay attention it. Even if your stomach is legit empty. I slowly changed my routine to 3 meals a day basically by just doing it until it no longer sucks. Doesn’t even take that long for the body to adapt.

I hope that didn’t sound too judgemental. I can’t imagine the pressure of dealing with that kind of anxiety plus the responsibility of a child. Sometimes we lose focus of what’s in front of us over what’s in our head when it should be the other way around.

Yeah that tends to happen when you nurture unhealthy thoughts

Sure now we are ready and can prepare.
Let me reiterate. They use rubber gloves to extract caca nuggets out of their own ass. I don’t think the astronauts would consider this a solved problem 😅

Often people seem uneasy when they walk past me in public. I’m tall, bald, bearded and all that. I wish they knew as soon as I get home I’m all like “Where’s that kitty bacon? Where is it? There it is! Jiggle jiggle jiggle! Yeah you like that, don’t you? Who’s my little fatass?”.

Fun fact 1: On the ISS people get constipated a lot because without gravity the time-to-poop receptors don’t get tickled enough and when they finally do it’s too late for it to come out easily so again without the help of gravity they have to resort to rooting around in there to remove the dookie pebbles manually. There are gloves provided to astronauts for that specific purpose.
Fun fact 2: This act is much easier to perform for women because they can use the glove from the front. Also no prostate in the way.

I had to drop out of uni because of depression and social anxiety when I was 25. Been in therapy since, weekly sessions and a six week stay in a clinic. Tried working again 2 years ago but had to quit after a few months.
I’m 29 now. Since about 3 months ago out of the blue my mental ailments have all but vanished. The months before that were very painful. I had lost contact with all my friends, my hobbies no longer felt fun, I was just lost and scared because of what’s been happening in the world. But during that time without really being aware of it I processed a lot of trauma and allowed myself to actually see it through and regenerate for the first time. The reclusive hermit stage can lead to big things. If you’re interested the woman in this video talks about her healing journey which then kicked off mine.
I also recommend mindfulness training. Basically teach yourself to think less because thinking makes you sad.

There’s still an antivirus program out there for 32 bit xp and firefox supports a lot of the usual plugins. I wouldn’t do online banking but I browsed the web on bare metal xp (the unofficial “integral edition”) ealier this year and it was fine. It’s not ideal but for some low level office stuff with little security concerns xp is kinda serviceable even today.

Oh nevermind then. I just looked it up and came across the so-called Rollin film. I don’t know if that only appears in helium or if superfluid water would be subject to that effect as well. I wonder how that would impact its behaviour.
