We are done. People who can identify an AI image are now the minority and the mass will choose to be confidently wrong about it.
If you are curious, read up about ai image watermarking: youtu.be/kVXp6UNVPTo

Nobody thinks this is a real image in a Kmart. They just dispute whether the obviously fake image was photoshopped or generated by AI.
The butt plug image used is AI but also from the company that sells them: https://craverise.com/products/stainless-steel-hidden-key-box-butt-plug
That does not mean that putting the AI image in that context for humorous purposes was done in AI.
It is also trivial to strip watermarks so checking for watermarks isn’t reliable. Not all gen AI images are even created with watermarks. It’s like checking an optional note from a parent.

I’m weirdly disappointed the real product has a gem in the base.
DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 13 hours ago
So, the image is fake, but the product exists. Also, Kmart does sell a few sex toys. So, the only lie here is that Kmart sells this particular sex toy, as it does not.

It’s a butt plug in a department store, of course it’s fake.
SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 11 hours ago
The first clue was Kmart honestly.
Quexotic@infosec.pub 7 hours ago
Apparently there’s a whole market.
Stamau123@lemmy.world 4 hours ago
A hole market if you will
A_Chilean_Cyborg@feddit.cl 3 hours ago
I… Impressive.
glitchdx@lemmy.world 7 hours ago
now that’s actually cool.
Fizz@lemmy.nz 17 hours ago
Please do not put anything from Kmart inside you. It will almost certainly break
cloudshouter@lemmy.zip 5 hours ago
It’s a Blue
LightBall Special.
tigermountain@lemmy.world 5 hours ago
At least you’ll always have them with you.

SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 15 hours ago
Looks like AI
neidu4@piefed.social 14 hours ago
Until used, then it’ll smell like something else
galacticbackhoe@lemmy.world 13 hours ago
pam image: they’re the same smell

socsa@piefed.social 12 hours ago
I mean you gotta wash it
RickyRigatoni@piefed.zip 18 hours ago
Kmart???
expatriado@lemmy.world 17 hours ago
there are 3 left. Other stores that disappeared from my city but still exists somewhere else: Radio Shack, Blockbuster, Winn Dixie, Bi-Lo…
naught101@lemmy.world 8 hours ago
Huh… This comment sent me down a Wikipedia rabbit hole. Australian Kmart is a separate company and brand from the American one. We also had a Bi-Lo until maybe 15 years ago that was also unrelated.
We had RadioShack and Blockbuster too, but they were the same brand.
BlameTheAntifa@lemmy.world 17 hours ago
Unfortunately slop.
snooggums@piefed.world 17 hours ago
Looks more like shop.
db2@lemmy.world 16 hours ago
Leakage and opening from motion, terrible idea to actually wear. Decent deterrent laying around though especially if you’ve got any artistic skill to make it look used.
nialv7@lemmy.world 16 hours ago
Look at the barcode on the price label. To me that says AI slop
jobbies@lemmy.zip 17 hours ago
Unfortunately?
glitchdx@lemmy.world 7 hours ago
I would not trust that.
red_bull_of_juarez@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 hours ago
Does it fit a wrist watch?
Sonotsugipaa@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 hours ago
Arc Raiders players be like:
kibblebits@quokk.au 18 hours ago
Where the hell did you find a Kmart?
user1234@fedinsfw.app 17 hours ago
I think it’s still fairly common in Australia. And probably a lot nicer than the American version.
Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 16 hours ago
Yeah, I hear they have buttplugs that can hide spare keys.
kibblebits@quokk.au 17 hours ago
I don’t think the yanks have Kmart anymore
BlackPenguins@lemmy.world 17 hours ago
It’s also a good hide a key. You can bet no one will touch that if they see it laying around.
nymnympseudonym@piefed.social 16 hours ago
You can really tell we hang among different crowds
NoForwadSlashS@piefed.social 12 hours ago
never lose keys again
I guess if it pops open then they won’t be “lost”, but the flared base won’t help get them out.
AstroLightz@lemmy.world 17 hours ago
“Durable metal design”
“Ideal for home, business or travel”
They definitely knew
Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 16 hours ago
That is a very personal key holder.
justme@lemmy.dbzer0.com 14 hours ago
“wait a second, just let me get out the keys”
