I’ve just been focusing objectives because I get my ass kicked in fights. The only success I have is sometimes lobbing arrows into crowds and doing the overhead attack with the spear.
Some people have clearly been playing for so long though they like end the game 20/4 and I genuinely don’t understand how they manage that

Those numbers aren’t accurate. Used to have to Uber to a job 10 minutes up the road and after talking to a few guys they made about $20 off me.
From my understanding Uber is basically 15-20 an hour in my area at least. That’s a pretty typical wage. Can’t speak for everywhere though.

Okay pants pisser keep arguing in every comment you make because you’re a small angry little man. Everyone in this thread meets you with normal conversation at first and then you continue to be a little ween and piss your pants about it. Shut up get a life

Lol you’re being such a wiener. Grow up and work on yourself kiddo
- Comment on Anon follows the rules 1 week ago:
Whiny and angry. Yeah you definitely are not independent. Emotionally small and immature.
Shut up nobody cares.
- Comment on Anon follows the rules 1 week ago:
Dunno why you’re so aggro about it but okay. Nobody cares what you do and nobody is saying you don’t do them. Relax.
There is a difference between independent, in a community and codependent. It isn’t just codependent and independent.
You seem pretty angry though so maybe you should step back and think about why you’re so mad at others saying independence isn’t the greatest thing since slice bread lol
- Comment on Anon follows the rules 1 week ago:
I actually think this whole concept of independence is pretty bad for society. Americans are so isolated. I get people have shit families but we often have shit families because of this concept of independence being so important.
We have 0 sense of community in America and it stems from the me, me, me, my independence stuff.
- Comment on The Obama wing of the Democratic Party is declaring “war” on progressives. Why don’t they ever bring this energy against Trump? Why do they hate working class people even more? 2 weeks ago:
I love how people think the Democrats are exactly like the Republicans.
Republicans bent the knee to trump x1000
Obama faced stiff push back and was considered a progressive almost TWENTY FUCKING YEARS AGO. Obama is not the kingpin, he did not restructure the Dems or really change the overall party goals, he set expectations for more progressive administrations ahead of him and is part of the reason why establishment Dems can’t seem to get a bite.
Say what you want, judge as you please but he opened up paths for other more progressive candidates for himself and if you’re too stupid to analyze his term clearly, you probably voted for Trump at least once.

Movie was solid 7.2/10. People just cry all over because superhero, because woman, because “what if” or because of some dumb thing.
- Comment on In a healthy society Zohran Mamdani would be a centrist. 2 weeks ago:
Not sure why everyone believes this is solely an American thing.
Most governments today are perfectly happy benefiting from overseas slave wages and exploitation. I’d argue America at least is the most racially conscious society. Everywhere has racists but God damn talking to some Europeans or Africans or South Americans reminds me how socially aware America is

I’ve not seen or played Expedition 33 but that’s hilarious.
If it were up to people the entire DMC series, Zelda series, all metroidvanias, any sort of action RPG, and any game where you fight a boss would be a soulslike game. It’s goofy.
It reminds me of the metal genre. It was rock, then punk, then grunge and slowly all of that became lumped into a metal genre of some sort and now any music that is remotely heavy is metal-something completely washing out the foundation that it was built upon.
Legend of Zelda and Metroid were the classic, find an item to beat the next boss/puzzle game. Shadow if Colossus, Super Mario RPG, hell even the resident evil games all offered things that lead up to the soulslike genre. Nobody is gonna convince me to use that term as a serious way to describe a game. It’s a very specific game type.
Idk maybe I’m old.

- Comment on Three developers' different philosophies on difficulty for their games 3 weeks ago:
That’s also the third game. I tried Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 and they both felt pretty much roll, jump and smack em with a stick.
I’m thinking Nioh, Bloodborne, Sekiro, stuff like that.
I also think the genre itself has become sort of weird where people will describe everything from Shovel Knight to Titan Souls to Jedi Fallen Order as soulslike which is insane in my opinion. I guess because you fight bosses in them or roll in some of them? I dunno. It has somehow absorbed all hack and slash, boss rush, metroidvania games to be labeled “soulslike”. Which is insane to me.
- Comment on Three developers' different philosophies on difficulty for their games 3 weeks ago:
I think they’d benefit taking a note from the witcher but not as linear.
For instance spirit/ghost creatures have them be susceptible to salt, silver, iron, holy water and a specific wood like holly. None are required to kill it, some have advantages over others or affect certain spirits more.
Maybe then I could be sneaky and have rare wood arrows with silver tips and eliminate from afar, I could be full rogue and sneak attack with blessed iron daggers, or just a big man with a plain sword and brute force my way through.
I think if you slapped Hatsune Miku on a dark souls screen and have her dancing going “jump!, roll!, duck!” People would realize it’s not as much of a skill game as they thought.
- Comment on Three developers' different philosophies on difficulty for their games 3 weeks ago:
That usually requires you to play the game in a traditional way first to learn/acquire that information and/or bang your skull repeatedly against a boss that feels like bullshit because you failed to dodge one single ability. It’s just not my schtick.
- Comment on Three developers' different philosophies on difficulty for their games 3 weeks ago:
Not the original commenter but I do feel the same. I dislike souls games. Although I did enjoy sekiro and made it to the stupid lightning samurai guy.
The problem with souls-like games for me is the combat doesn’t feel good for the challenge and I believe you can see this in high tier players lazily dodging attacks.
The game isn’t about skill and strategy. It’s timing and flat experience to kill some bosses you just gotta fight them 600 times and learn the attacks patterns which to me feels mentally exhausting and frustrating. It’s like a glorified DDR game with swords. I have to do the right combos to win, some strategies exist sure but at the end of the day it’s DDR.
The big argument everyone has is “mechanics vs numbers” thinking mechanics is the true skill side but mechanics isn’t just what you do with a controller, it’s also what the game allows you to do.
Too many games equate difficulty with time sink. I want a game that I can be smart and play the numbers OR be skilled and play the mechanics or both. Souls games don’t offer that, they’re peg legged
