My beef with this is that this dude didn’t actually talk with car designers. He’s just a Monday morning quarterback who’s guessing about how shit gets made.
Don’t guess. Go talk DM some designers on linked in.
If he talked to designers he’s probably learn that it’s not the regulations themselves that make cars ugly. It’s that they make RnD and manufacturing expensive, which makes companies risk adverse. If you spend a ton of money making something, and if your margins are tight, you have increased risk. And people have a tendency to make bland / safe choices when there is more risk. I say this as a product designer who’s seen this more times that I can count.

- Comment on Reddit stock is down 1.99% over the past 3 months 4 weeks ago:
Look at the indexes, not the individual stocks. Things are rebounding, but a massive slide started at the beginning of this month.
One of the big drivers is fear of an AI bubble. A lot of stocks that hitched their wagon to AI are down a lot. Reddit has some vulnerability there.
Also, it’s 2% for one company. Reddit has been pretty flat for the last 2 months. 2% is totally inline with natural variation.

Most of human history also didn’t live to 80 and have to manage payments on a certified preowned Kia and a 3 / 2.5 in a good school district.

Everyone is different, but a lot of studies show that late 20s / early 30s is a sweet spot for stability and not encountering big risks with conceiving.
That said, having kids in your early 20’s, and early 30’s both sounds miserable to me.

There is a pretty good chance they ain’t leaving the nest after high school. Wage stagnation, increased housing prices, limited junior job roles. People stay at home forever these days.
