- Comment on Hulu quizzing about the ads played 1 day ago:
Fair game as in “What do I watch today” because the movie was already pre-loaded.
- Comment on Hulu quizzing about the ads played 1 day ago:
I would love to watch that.
- Comment on Hulu quizzing about the ads played 1 day ago:
Only upfront effort. Downloading is almost as much of a hassle as choosing what to play tonight.
Once it’s on the disk it’s fair game. - Comment on Boomers with their loud Samsung phone sounds 4 days ago:

Yup. Exactly this. Users forgetting (again) there’s a world outside the US.
- Comment on Not enough people buying Premium, eh? 3 weeks ago:
I can be patient if the content is >10min long.
If I need to watch an ad for every 2-5min video of streamer clips I’d go balistic as that are even more ads than the broadcast tv nonsense. - Comment on Should you bother with... mini PCs? 4 weeks ago:

Imo isthereanydeal does the price tracking more useful.

So eBay?
- Comment on Would "suggest price" be a positive option for steam? 4 weeks ago:
That would most likely be one of the better solutions.
I think isthereanydeal works similar to that. - Comment on What games have you sunk the most time into? 4 weeks ago:
GTA 5 (Online).
Total: 2.253h
Estimated time spent in Online: Probably about 1900-2000h - Comment on After a disastrous opening, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim heads to digital on Dec 27th 4 weeks ago:
I just heard about something LoR as an anime and when I went to the cinema to watch Gladiator 2 I noticed a screening note for this movie. I didnt notice any poster outside about this movie. Nothing.
- Comment on Which movies have you seen this week? 4 weeks ago:
IMO the sequel is average at best.
I really need to rewatch this one to see how mediocre the sequel actually is. - Comment on Which movies have you seen this week? 4 weeks ago:

- Comment on We tested the Nvidia App performance problems — games can run up to 15 percent slower with the app 5 weeks ago:
Sounds like something adjusted something in the nvidia control panel and the monitor is balancing that out with a low red value.
Maybe worth to take a look. - Comment on FedEx has absolutely no clue what 'economy' means. 5 weeks ago:
Not like there is a good way of measuring transportation and shipping fees if you arent an insider that knows how much it actually costs.
I usually expect to pay between 15-20€ if I buy <2-3kg items from the US/CA and some for stuff like JP and CN - Comment on This spoon. 1 month ago:

I saw this spoon in Sri Lanka. Seemed like they have no other spoon shape and it was offered with meals like oat porridge and sago porridge.

Tbh at least UE is doing incredible work
- Comment on I hate when a PC game is ONLY available on Epic Games store 1 month ago:
Well this may be a just-you-and-someothers problem the general audience (on lemmy at least) disagrees.
I am fine if devs sell on epic but not if it’s arbitrary exclusivity.
I have bought on EA and uPlay but I would never consider them again if they pay (for example) Take2 if they would exclusive sell GTA6 on the EA store. - Comment on I hate when a PC game is ONLY available on Epic Games store 1 month ago:
Tbh any stake is too much and I’ll try to reduce it if poasible (e.g. pihole for tracking urls).
Rather I would prefer to own stake in tencent :p At least I get paid dividends. - Comment on I hate when a PC game is ONLY available on Epic Games store 1 month ago:
Steam does provide good general dev services
GOG preserves games and let’s you own game files without pesky DRM
What does Epic do besides developing UE5 and harrassing the PC platform witg exclusivity deals?Other dev-specific platforms like EA amd Uplay get a pass because they publish only their own games.
