I though The Crew got delisted? Wasn’t that what the SKG was about?
- Comment on Open-World Games with Drivable Motorbikes? 3 weeks ago:
I don’t think Skyrim has motorbikes (also I already have it), unless you’re talking about mods.

I just tried to mod Skyrim earlier, but doing so on Linux is really painful.
Mod Organizer 2 (MO2) runs fine under Proton, but it doesn’t support collections, so I would need to manually install hundreds of mods, which is not worth my time.
As for Vortex, I couldn’t even get it to install.
So, I gave up on modded Skyrim. For comparison, on Windows: It’s click, install, done. I wish it was the same on Linux under proton.

Palworld isn’t bad, but I feel like it doesn’t respect my time with how grindy it is. It’s about as grindy as some major MMOs, which isn’t what I’m looking for right now.

I checked out the demo and it seems good. Some controller issues and gameplay issues (Bow aiming sensitivity is too high), but otherwise quite cozy.

Nintendo Switch
Mario Odyssey was fine, but I didn’t really see the use for a portable slab compared to a pocket-size device like my phone or the 3DS. Also, this was the first Nintendo device that felt completely soulless. At least the Wii U had some charm to it.

I’ve only ever bought cheap $2 sunglasses and they work fine. They’re cheap, so they break easy, but they’re only $2.

- Comment on How would you actually tax the ultra wealthy? 3 months ago:
Yeah, there’s probably a better set of formulas to use.
The main idea behind my idea is that people who make more pay more, whereas people who make less pay less. Additionally, those who don’t make money pay no tax as it works out mathematically.
- Comment on How would you actually tax the ultra wealthy? 3 months ago:
A potential mathematical approach to equal taxation that works in any country:
- Calculate the average income of every citizen. Let A = the average income (amount per year)
- Set a baseline tax amount for the average (e.g. 10%). Let P = baseline tax percentage
- Given a person’s income, calculate how far above or below they are compared to the average. Let I = a person’s income. We can calculate the difference, D, with D = I - A. A positive value means the person’s income is above average, whereas negative is below.
- Calculate the difference as a percentage. Let Q = D / A
- Calculate the percentage of the tax percentage. This will determine how much more or less a person will have to pay: R = Q * P
- Finally, calculate the person’s unique tax amount: T = P + R. If R was a positive value, that means the person will pay more. If R was a negative value, they pay less. If R = 0, they pay the base amount.
Example: Let’s say the average income per year is $50,000 USD, and the baseline tax rate is 10%
So A =50,000 and P = 10% / 100 = 0.1
Given a person’s income: $30,000/yr:
I = 30,000
Calculate the difference:
D = 30,000 – 50,000 = –20,000 Q = –20,000 / 50,000 = –0.4 (–40%)
Calculate how much more/less the person pays:
R = –0.4 * 0.1 = –0.04 (–4%)
Calculate the unique tax amount:
T = 0.1 + (–0.04) = 0.1 – 0.04 = 0.6 (6%)
There might be a better set of formulas, but this is what I came up with. Let me know if I made a mistake in my math.

I tried out the new House Flipper Remastered Demo, and it was decent. As someone who owns all the DLC of the first game (I haven’t and won’t play the sequel), there are some nice QoL improvements they added, like a tool to see dirt, and a top-down view.
However, there are some performance issues along with some bugs others have reported. I’m hoping it’ll be good when it releases, though I’m a bit hesitant as it will be about $20 USD for those that own all DLC, which seems a bit much for just a few new enhancements and a graphics ‘improvement’.

To me, it looks like Little Nightmares 3 with a “Fresh” coat of paint, if that paint was made in the same factory as LN3.
I liked the original Little Nightmares, tolerated 2, and 3 bored me enough to not finish it. This game seems to improve some aspects from LN3, but still misses the mark for me.
