That assumes he thinks the people are right that his actions warrant consequences. He can be aware it’s about him but also think they are wrong about his actions being a problem.

This is the 4th time I’ve seen a post about this the past week with a top comment saying exactly the same (just with different words). It feels like being back on the latter years of reddit. And please don’t misunderstand me, I don’t disagree with you or the other three top comments about this at all, it’s just a new experience here on lemmy that mirrors what I’ve seen on reddit and other places before that which weirdly worries me. think of cutting food in your kitchen. slicing cuts better than chopping. an angled blade is similar to a slicing motion.
really it’s more that the cut starts at a smaller area than all at once.
I believe that an angled blade would create a more thorough cut as it’s a smaller point of contact for cutting. So it’ll cut through ligaments, maybe even vertebrae. Where as a flat one it is initially a small point that gets bigger which requires more force to go through the neck further.
My understanding is the angled blade introduces a force more like slicing and chopping at the same time

If you see a guillotine and immediately assume it’s for you, maybe you should reconsider some life choices. Because the vast majority of people would see a guillotine and go “oh that’s fucking cool” instead of assuming it was there specifically for them.

They might also go “that’s concerning”. Most people aren’t great fans of violence, so the implication of a violent device might worry them.
But they still wouldn’t go “they’re coming for me”, unless they have a persecution complex and genuinely think someone’s out to get them.
Most of the latter group would be wrong.
