I mean, we are? I’m tired of this whole we are doing nothing narrative.
The media isn’t going to show national news in support of this, however:
There are groups mobilizing, protests at city halls, capitol buildings. I have seen protestors in small cities, and in the large.
There is steam picking up, the town halls becoming increasingly more chaotic on both sides.
You even have the growth of socialistra.org And other like associations
You have entire organizations of legal workers trying everything they can to slow down things through legislation. You have the the anti oligarch movement spearheaded by AOC (democrat) and Bernie (independent). Some guard rails are holding and some are failing.

Citric acid cycle
Interconnected biochemical reactions releasing energy
The citric acid cycle—also known as the Krebs cycle, Szent–Györgyi–Krebs cycle, or TCA cycle(tricarboxylic acid cycle)—is a series of biochemical reactions to release the energy stored in nutrients through the oxidation of acetyl-CoA derived from carbohydrates, fats, proteins, and alcohol. The chemical energy released is available in the form of ATP. The Krebs cycle is used by organisms that respire (as opposed to organisms that ferment) to generate energy, either by anaerobic respirationor aerobic respiration. In addition, the cycle provides precursors of certain amino acids, as well as the reducing agent NADH, that are used in numerous other reactions. Its central importance to many biochemical pathways suggests that it was one of the earliest components of metabolism. Even though it is branded as a “cycle”, it is not necessary for metabolites to follow only one specific route; at least three alternative segments of the citric acid cycle have been recognized.

What a beautiful world we live in, where nothing really matters but money.
They might as well be spitting directly in our faces, it’s just so openly bullshit.

First point in favor:
I actually think Rockstar is one of the true AAA studios that can justify this kind of pricing, they have such a huge dev team for rockstar flagships and on top of that the quality is unmatched throughout the gaming industry.
We are not talking about Bethesda here, RDR2 was basically a masterpiece.
Counterpoint: they also make more than enough money from GTA online to subsidize the base game cost. They will make many many times over what they spent on game dev and marketing with their online pricing model. So it’s just a further money grab really.

The company fucked up by not updating their equipment, even though they knew it was outdated and dangerous
“The North Sea Divers Alliance, formed by early North Sea divers and the relatives of those killed, continued to press for further investigation and, in February 2008, obtained a report that indicated the real cause was faulty equipment. Clare Lucas, daughter of Roy Lucas, said: "I would go so far as to say that the Norwegian Government murdered my father because they knew that they were diving with an unsafe decompression chamber."[11] The families of the divers eventually received compensation for the damages from the Norwegian government, 26 years after the incident.[12]”

Basically this mutation is shown to protect against malaria, but it causes an issue with producing a molecule needed for the creation of ATP (energy your body needs)
So while they can offer a protective effect to the subject they could need transfusions or other treatment to stay healthy.
Subject 1 & 2 had similar biomarkers, and subject 3 had different markers causing a type of misread that made them transfusion dependent.
That’s my understanding at least

I’ve been playing God Of War Ragnarok and haven’t felt the need really to use the map much at all.
I do find the armor system to be annoying and basically decided to ignore all the gear I pick up, sell it, and upgrade the base items all the way instead because of the buffs the beginning gear gets if you upgrade all the way. All that to say I wish they just had a more robust leveling system instead.
Otherwise minus my deaths (playing on God Of War difficulty ) I’ve been feeling pretty immersed in it.

Those structures also don’t become engorged with blood to increase their firmness and size.

Well, that’s because every single other body part has a bone in it. The penis does not have a bone, so growth would be more related to their endocrine systems, nutrition and individual genetics.
The height difference is not statistically relevant here

Yeah, it is at the moment for the most part. My girlfriend is fluent in Spanish, and I have talked to her about general concepts that overlap.
We decided after I started getting deeper into the language that we should maybe not do that as much so I don’t pick up bad or flat out wrong habits.
I myself am of an Italian descent, however the relatives I have that speak it either live in Italy still and are estranged or sadly have passed away. There is an Italian grocery store near me, and I have heard them speaking it so I was hoping to strike a couple friendships up over time there.

While I was mostly joking with my comment and the context of having to bike to work in a hot climate.
I agree with you initially, that works starts when you’re ready to work. I think that definition of ready is a little subjective.
As far as I’m concerned the moment I deviate from my normal non-working behavior is when I am starting work.
Realistically I feel that begins at the commute to work for me, I have some personal bias here since I have an hour long commute when I do (I work from home a lot of the time, so again that also skews my perception of when I “start” work.
