Just gave everyone with the power to launch a nuke a huge penis and a sense of confident but gentle masculinity with sorcery.
jdr@lemmy.ml 3 weeks ago
Haha, now I have two
okwhateverdude@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Kinda useless to have two senses of confident but gentle masculinity, but you do you, boo.
fartographer@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
I think mine got lost in the mail…
Jiggle_Physics@quokk.au 3 weeks ago
Read it again, it says they gave everyone some non-specific thing, who already had the power to launch a nuke, a huge penis, and that sense of masculinity
Jiggle_Physics@quokk.au 3 weeks ago
why would I want to launch a a huge penis and a sense of confident masculinity into space?

They said slightly less gay, not more gay than a rainbow furry in a Village People orgy.
okwhateverdude@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Gork@sopuli.xyz 3 weeks ago
We need ever-more gay sorcery to keep up with this arms race.
nullify3112@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Nothing beats the raw magical power of a twink orgie.

Fool! Everyone knows homosexual sorcery is most effective!
UnfortunateShort@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
I mean, he said “slighlty less” gay, not straight…
TransNeko@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
must be a bi sorcerer. or a lesbian witch.
Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 3 weeks ago
So slightly less effective?
Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Nah. Non binary sorcery is the strongest. Believe me us wizards have ran the tests and numbers don’t lie.
Sxan@piefed.zip 3 weeks ago
Ooo, sorry… Ace wizardry is þe most powerful: no horny jail.

Ugh, I have to share this- how fucking gorgeous is the paint job on this minifig?!
(Not my work, I just think it’s cool)
tetris11@feddit.uk 3 weeks ago
Why’s the guy riding the motorbike got his gun out? What kind of power does he think he wields compared to the sorcerer behind him casually levitating nukes?
okwhateverdude@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Holy shit, it looks actually lit. That is insane.
a_non_monotonic_function@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
JackbyDev@programming.dev 3 weeks ago
Yes, it’s only slightly less gay. I cannot support heterosexual sorcery.
a_non_monotonic_function@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Oh, fuck no. Just confirming there is enough homosexual magic to make it worthwhile.
Otherwise it is the sorcery equivalent to jerking off.
mtpender@piefed.world 3 weeks ago

I’m never quite sure if these people believe what they’re saying, and should be institutionalised, or it’s more of a vibe thing.
Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 3 weeks ago
I mean if were institutionalizing people that believe in magic and ethereal shit we have to institutionalize like 80% of Americans.
unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de 3 weeks ago
WW3 would break out like instantly without the threat of nukes.
LurkingLuddite@piefed.social 3 weeks ago
lol no it wouldn’t. War is hard. Just look at Russia and Ukraine. No nukes, yet war.
Objection@lemmy.ml 3 weeks ago
War is very profitable, for certain people. You can look at the enormous cost of conflicts for the minor benefits, but that cost is borne by taxpayers, while the benefiticiaries are almost exclusively the ruling class.
But the ruling class, if they’re same and acting in their own self interest, don’t want to get involved in a peer conflict, where losing doesn’t just mean walking away from a country with whatever they could plunder, but could mean actually having their own necks on the line. They are already on top of the world, so why shake things up?
The biggest danger of a major peer conflict is that, in order to get enough ordinary people on board such that they don’t mind spending enormous sums to line the pockets of the ruling class, we are fed a constant stream of propaganda designed to make us hate and fear foreigners instead. When the ruling class whips people up into such a frenzy, there’s always a chance of losing control, and winding up with some True Believer in the wrong place at the wrong time, like General Ripper from Dr. Strangelove.
Until then, we will be in a constant state of “low-intensity” warfare, of imperialistic aggression against those too weak to fight back. While in the meantime, with so much money being poured into that, things will gradually get worse and worse domestically until we inevitably get either fascism or socialism.
captainlezbian@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
It’s also devastating for people’s willingness to be ruled. There’s a brief wartime popularity boost in some circumstances, and defensive wars tend to remain popular, but eventually people get sick of rationing and of people they know dying.
explodicle@sh.itjust.works 3 weeks ago
IMHO the major world powers are more afraid of how their economies would collapse. We’re extremely interwoven now. What’s keeping China away from Taiwan is what they’ve seen in Ukraine and Iran.
Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 3 weeks ago
Plus the fact that with the way the US is going, Taiwan might willingly jump into Chinese hands in a few years just to shield themselves from Western Aggression.

iThinkDifferentThanU@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Ah I’ve heard a secret whisper saying when the uap’s were hovering over them(80’s or 90’s can’t recall) no nukes work. When they tried a test shot once. One hit it with a beam and made in inert. Somewhere in between is the truth I imagine
ChaosCatWitch@feddit.online 3 weeks ago
Boy, do I wish we could do that magic to the nukes.
