How did the fiber help?

Do you rinse between wears? I don’t think i could put the shorts back on if they’ve got ass worn into them without at least rinsing.
- Comment on 1 hour ago:
Already have two, they’re not expensive.

Have you ever tried washing exercise clothes? The smell persists.
Farting is normal, and i assume that with the gas escaping, little poop aerosols come out too. Not something any doctor can help with. It’s just part of being human.

Could you explain what bag balm is?
- Comment on 4 hours ago:
Pretty sure this is normal. It’s not like i can see the leak. It’s more of a mental thing, and a smell.
- Comment on 6 hours ago:
When you put it that way, it seems simple.
But let’s say i haven’t pooped in a while. There could be all kinds of poop particles that have leaked out.
So i guess i should poop first, then clean, then put on the bike shorts.

Can you say more about the skin flora balance? I’ve met some hippy types that use soap sparingly for this reason, but not sure that’s what you mean.

My friend also dislikes the term, but that’s because he’s male, and it should be masseur, or massage therapist (preferred).

Will massage therapists generally be familiar with deep tissue massage if you ask?
I think that’s what i used to get, where it felt like i was getting my tendons re-adjusted and stuff, but i didn’t know how to ask.

Endorphins are a hell of a drug. I also saw a legitimately sadistic massage therapists with, let’s say, differences in feeling empathy from most people. Best massages ever, but eventually it didn’t feel safe.

I used to be jealous of it, like when my coworkers at summer camp were comfortable laying next to each other and partly on each other in a cuddle pile on a couch, just in a platonic non-sexual, but close way. But i was new and didn’t know what to do.
For me, the skin to skin contact feels nice, relaxing, close, safe.
I can imagine not wanting to touch another person, because i get those moods too, especially with strangers or people where the social context is unclear. But it is really nice for me when it’s the right place and time and people.

Even when bikes have to ride on the roads, it would be crazy to make them behave exactly like cars, because they’re not.
Cars have to stop at stop signs because a driver’s visibility is quite poor, they have obstacles due to the A-pillar, etc,. and it is unsafe if they don’t stop and look out for other traffic.
Bicyclists have much better visibility, and a slower travel speed, so usually don’t need the extra time to be aware of other bike/car traffic. They are also incentivized to maintain momentum and move past a dangerous intersection in a visible, efficient way.
Which is why the Idaho stop is getting more and more accepted. Crashes at intersections go down 23% when implemented.

“They think they’re better than us” is the only reason i can imagine.

Yes, vehicular cycling is best as an emergency-only maneuver to make cars less likely to hit you, if you have to ride on a street with cars.
Real bike infrastructure is superior in every way.
There are some crazy grifters out there who don’t like bike lanes, and think that bicycles should always be mixing it up in traffic.
- Comment on Team Car! 1 day ago:
No it is very common here.
Wheelchairs, like pedestrians, have close to a zero turn radius capability. A person riding a bike does not. So put some right angle turns close to each other, and some one can walk through with their bike, but not easily ride through. (Although it is a fun challenge.)
I get putting them strategically to gate places where bicyclists and pedestrians will mix. I don’t like when planners use them to gate road (auto) crossings – the auto should be the one slowed down, not me. Or at the very least, it should be equal.
I did a quick search to find some images, and found a site explaining that some of these types of gates ARE sometimes impassible barriers to different types of bikes, bikes with trailers, etc, and there are better ways to slow bicyclist speed at an intersection.

The footbridge is the only way across.
You are correct that it cannot force people to take the bridge; they could turn around and go back the way they came, although it does usually force bicyclists to dismount if they want to get across the river.
I’ve personally tried to “trials ride” through them, when no one else is around, but it is very difficult, if not impossible, to make such tight short turns.
There is nothing preventing a bicyclist from hopping back on their bike on the bridge, once they’re through the gate, and then hopping off again to pass the gate at the other side. But since they had to dismount, that removes most of the dangerous momentum and starts pedestrians and bicyclists off on equal footing as they cross the bridge, instead of leaving it 100% up to the bicyclist for deciding when to slow down and become a pedestrian.
- Comment on Team Car! 1 day ago:
One other big difference is that bicyclists can become pedestrians temporarily (by walking their bike) and then go back to being different. Cars cannot do this.
This is built into a lot of the designs i see, where there might be a wide road/path which accommodates both pedestrians and cyclists, but then to cross a preexisting narrow bridge, a pedestrian access only gate can ask cyclists to dismount and walk across.

I don’t think it’s that important to keep biikes away from pedestrians. They can usually coexist fine and fear doesn’t actually hurt anyone.
It’s way more important to keep cars far away from humans of all types.
- Comment on Team Car! 4 days ago:
When cyclists have to share space with pedestrians, it can be really scary when a fast bike passes you as a pedestrian. But the changes of actually being hit and hurt are really low, though it does happen anecdotally.

For most of life, it is better to stick to objective facts than subjective opinions.
“Mentally challenged” sounds like an opinion.
“They didn’t understand something until i used simple words and plenty of repetition.” – objective fact based on experience.

I don’t either, but i will say once in a while it is worth it to look how you would like to look, even if it is not optionally comfortable.
But not all the time
