So people have “90 days” to what? Play the games? Before they disappear?
- Comment on Is there any such thing as "edutainment" shows for adults? 2 days ago:
There was a scandal where they made a sponsored video without telling people, and may have selectively edited, but I might be misremembering.

- Comment on Put your seat back or no? 5 days ago:
That has not been my experience at all. In fact could you explain how the person in front of you inconveniences you by reclining their seat?
The only thing I can think of is when someone reclines with a bump and it makes a noise.

Knowing it’s a parody makes me… more likely to want to watch it, but… I still don’t really want to watch it. Another example of Poe’s Law, I guess.

Yeah caliber kind of gives an insight into treating people as fungible objects IMO.

You can use it for free if you’re frugal with search. I use DDG and only kagi when I really need it.

I use kagi for free but my dad is addicted to google so I might see if he likes it…
Honestly he’s in the demographic that might prefer the ai slop :/
- Comment on How are you using your laptop (with internet) that still runs Windows10? 1 week ago:
All of these are best security practices. But read more about the swiss cheese model to know why you can’t just tell someone, “run a vulnerable os, you’ll be fine so long as you are perfect and nothing goes wrong.”

Good luck out there

You could download a Trojan that takes advantage of a known vulnerability.
It is part of the swiss cheese model.
Your browser could have a vulnerable plugin, or maybe the user delays updates.
I bought a USB drive off a sketchy guy in college which had auto-run Malware on it – but it didn’t work on Ubuntu.
Not a good idea to use an unpatched OS.

Ah I see, the text color changes. Thanks!

You should see the post title in the feed go from white to slightly gray after it’s been marked as read.
Does this also work for dark mode? I.e., go from black to slightly gray?

Thanks, I just checked and it is set to display all posts regardless of language (none selected)

There are some posts that I see every time, even after I pull to refresh, with the setting on. Maybe it is because I only scrolled past them without clicking?
Is there any way I could collect data on this that might help?
Would it be possible to show read posts when visiting a comm, while hiding them everywhere else?
I also have to say I’m starting to like Blorp more than voyager :)
