Yeah it would probably choose the buzzword today, but the algorithms behind auto fill are a much simpler affair than LLMs

Content aware fill isn’t considered AI, and came out in 2010

Yeah, there really isn’t and recorded history for that, unfortunately. From what I am to understand most of the natives in Appalachia died after DeSoto tore through the place looking for precious metals as he basically was just a bio-weapon.

also plenty of historically bad neighborhoods, and towns, with long histories of violent crime.

Do murders on mountains count? Then there are definitely mountains with way higher kill counts than anything in the Rockies.

There is, don’t order food to be delivered to you house. Going from every pizza shop, and local fast food joint, having people who would drive the food to anywhere within a few miles, with just the idea you would likely tip them if you got your food on time, to having to pay anywhere from 1/4-2x the cost of your order to have it delivered, by a third party, that is a huge faceless corporation, with poor service, is really disheartening.

Oh, this wasn’t your fault, for some reason my profile had your comment under a different comment where this would make no sense. Gonna delete that. Sorry about that.

You can both empathize with the loss of innocent life, and understand that it was consequences of their collective actions. If someone where to stab someone, and that person stabbed them back, and the attacker dies, you can both mourn the loss of life, but also understand the attacker deserved what happened to them. Had we not accepted the warmongering, corporate, fascists, controlling our government, we would not have slaughtered 100’s of thousands of people in foreign countries in the first place, thus avoiding the retaliation we received. That attack was defensive. Your previous comment implies that if a country is attacked by another, they should not attack them in return, because it would be underserved, which is just completely naive pacifism.

There has been a noticeable amount of ICE all over here as well. The problem is that almost all of our Latino population is from Puerto Rico. So they have been harassing people on the street, kicking in doors, and beating people up, but making few arrests, and almost no sustained charges. This is a problem for them because their good standing clause to not pay back their bonuses is based on getting people actually deported. So the ICE agents here are crying about how they might end up bankrupt because they spent those bonuses, and can’t afford to pay them back.

Then you do it, and your body punishes you for it this time, instead of your parents.

That had we not had a history of committing acts of of mass violence in other countries, we wouldn’t have deserved to have one committed upon us. We did though, so we do.

Read it again, it says they gave everyone some non-specific thing, who already had the power to launch a nuke, a huge penis, and that sense of masculinity

why would I want to launch a a huge penis and a sense of confident masculinity into space?

- Comment on Why is gun violence lower in Switzerland than in the US? 4 weeks ago:
I actually am very well acquainted with this. I did data analysis for the corrections system for almost a decade. Worked with universities, and other government offices, and bodies, on this subject, and it’s surrounding subjects. I honestly know more about this than almost anyone who’s profession never crossed into studying and analyzing this subject.
This is not the place to be having an academic conversation on the material conditions that drive poverty, and centuries of intentional disenfranchisement, and how those result in criminal behavior, problems with education, recidivism, impulse control, calculated violence, and the endless other factors that play into this situation, many we are just starting realize even are factors. I haven’t worked in it in about 10 years, so I am currently out of date outside of jaunts to update specific things when stuff like this comes up.
if you would like I can recommend some reading though.

Most of the indiscriminate terrorist style mass shootings are white christian males, age 18-35, the majority of the criminal activity related (eg drug sales) is from black men age 18-30. Most of the gun deaths are from suicide, which is largely white men, but still high for black men.
Most preventable child deaths in the US are from guns, however the vast majority from accidental gun discharge, not violence.
