That’s a great attitude to have actually.
- Comment on What do you think the solution to selling progressive politics to young men is ? 3 days ago:
This comment reminds me of a 4chan post, where the poster talks about understanding the difference between anecdotes and statistics, and goes on to say that anyone who responds to a statistic with an anecdote they think disproves it isn’t very intelligent.
You don’t want to be dumber than a 4channer, do you?

I’m not convinced that’s the case actually. We’re better off in some ways, definitely worse off in others.

Yapping on about the patriarchy, white privilege, male privilege etc is one example.

This is the weirdest collection of words I’ve read in a while.
At the moment, all the evidence shows the laptop being delivered, including the photo showing final delivery. If OP files a police report, and presents evidence showing the laptop was indeed stolen, then it’s on the delivery company, as it’s their employee.
The bank would likely also want proof this happened.

This is why I don’t actually blame them for wanting a police report, the laptop will have gone through their system, been scanned and processed, all the way through to final delivery. Looking at the information they have, I don’t blame them one bit for being sceptical.
This is an extraordinary event.

Will they refund you if you do in fact go to the police? This is a pretty incredible claim to take at face value.

Yeah, I think the phone is what sunk him.

It would absolutely be used as evidence in your favour by your defence though. It’s not conclusive, but it helps.

Which is part of the reason the burden of proof is on them.

Are you seriously suggesting a police force will not secure a murder suspect’s phone as part of their enquiries?
Or that, if they didn’t, this would work against them in court later?

Do you not understand the concept of a defence attorney? It’s not just the police that decide what is and isn’t evidence.

It will be like Russia, where they make nuclear threats on a weekly basis, but know they would be obliterated if they ever actually used them.
Having said that, you’re right about Israel having nukes being nothing to cheer about.

There are gas hobs that have a row of three burners along the back, but they don’t have the supporting frames running this way, so good spot.

It’s the complete and total lack of seasoning, apart from what appears to be pepper on the chicken. Also the fact that the concept of “crunch”, or any form of texture, seems to be a foreign concept.
