What do you think are the chance that they cooked these insects first?
prettybunnys@piefed.social 2 months ago
Exactly, they’re just asking for problems if they haven’t pasteurized their bug milk.
justaman123@lemmy.world 2 months ago
Smdh these kids and there raw bug milk. Pasteurization was good enough for me, it outghta be good enough for everyone
Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 1 month ago
But then you’ll destroy all the vitamins!
cecinestpasunecommunication@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 months ago
If you use a vitamix you can use the speed of the blades to cook it.
They didn’t.
iocase@lemmy.zip 2 months ago
Have you tried blending them with fermented piss instead of water? It might also help to rip aged urine in your eyes to detoxify your body.
/s if it wasn’t blatantly obvious

/s if it wasn’t blatantly obvious
Not necessarily.

WT…and I cannot emphasise this enough…F??
There were no other reported cases of intravenous semen injection found across the medical literature. A broader search of internet sites and forums found no documentation of semen injection for back pain treatment or otherwise.
That, at least, is something of a relief.
Dyskolos@lemmy.zip 2 months ago
What the…how does one even come to such an idea? And after that hurdle he still did it, thinking it might work? People…

Oh no sweaty… Did you ferment it for long enough? It should make your 15 cats gag when you open the bottle

Please delete that. I want this to happen.

So you know the thing where people type “lol” but they don’t give a mild chuckle let alone actually laugh?
Your comment did it, I genuinely started laughing at my phone. Thx.

I will say I’m intrigued by this dietary idea but I’ll add my own spin on this. The bacteria that live within us are alive and well, so much so that they are us. We are just an avatar to these marvellous creatures.
Wouldn’t it then logically follow that it’s more beneficiary for us to ingest these bugs in a live state?
Now I can already hear the sceptics “but RFK, what about the roadkill you eat? Aren’t those dead?”.
Fair point, let’s ask the larvae.
Sceptics, …heh makes me wonder,…sceptic tics? Anyone?

Healthy eating? More like health yeating.

Big milk has all the essential nutrients you need to grow a strong carapace
OwOarchist@pawb.social 2 months ago
Gotta be picky about your bugs and not use any of the poisonous ones.
bluesheep@sh.itjust.works 1 month ago
I only eat the green ones. It’d quite the hassle to sort them but I just really don’t like the red and blue ones.

This is sound medical advice if your colera is high, but too little colera and you’ll end up melancholic.
Everything in proportion and moderation in all things.

Due to access, there’s a fairly popular movement around alternate medical treatment and kind of old folk remedies.

While i’m technically not vegan, I don’t eat meat. How do y’all vegans feel about this?
zarkanian@sh.itjust.works 1 month ago
Bugs are animals, so vegans are against eating bugs. Also, there’s oat milk, soy milk, cashew milk, rice milk, and many, many other plant milks available if you don’t want animal milk.
Hawk@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 month ago
I’m mostly vegetarian but I’ve eaten bigs a few times. Supposedly would be quite good for the environment if we would eat them more.
Beehaw_Girl@beehaw.org 1 month ago
But according to OOP, bug consumption makes people & turtles sick.
daggermoon@piefed.world 1 month ago
I’m pretty much living off of plant based meat and cheese. I do eat regular cheese though and eggs.

If one mashes bugs in blender rather than milk them - it ain’t big milk, it’s bug juice.
renzhexiangjiao@piefed.blahaj.zone 2 months ago
mmmm beetlejuice

Shhh! Don’t say his name! You don’t want his help, trust me.
Cassa@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 months ago
no, both juice and milk is extracting liquid from the product. here they add water. it’s cold soup.
it’s cold bug soup

Depends how good the blender is, if a lot of solids remain it’s more of a stew
JohnWorks@sh.itjust.works 2 months ago
But when nuts do it then it’s milk. The double standards of milk smh
Apocalypteroid@lemmy.world 2 months ago
I dunno, I milk my nuts all the time.
wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 2 months ago
It’s a bug smoothie. It would be juice if they separated the pulp and squeezed it to remove all the liquid
nickiwest@lemmy.world 2 months ago
That definition is not accurate in all parts of the world.
I was shocked upon arrival in Colombia when they asked if I wanted my juice in water or in milk. Here, they throw the whole fruit in the blender and dilute the pulp with water or milk to make the right consistency of beverage.
