Pretty sad they didn’t figure out awesome future dune buggy with a really stylish name. It was only mentioned 3 times
- Comment on If someone was shrunk down to the size of an ant would they be able to make a little ant sized campfire with the same principles? Does it scale like that? 17 hours ago:
Yeah, gah could you imagine having that much executive function. Like doing a thing and then also having the dedication to also film it and get a YouTube channel and every bit of friction along the way. From a thing you started doing because setting things on fire is relaxing

This would make a really excellent YouTube channel, just voiceover, same style as perpetual stew. Burn tiny things every day.

I’m talking about the issues of enshitification, Oreo cookies getting worse over time is a microcosm of this affect. It’s just one of many things that could be better if anti trust laws were better. So many food companies are owned by a single entity

If we had anti trust these fucks would still have to compete and we would all get better products

- Comment on How come no one has taken 'A Hero's Journey' and applied it to the bible? Would this not give more evidence to work of fiction or non fiction? 4 days ago:
You can’t argue with the faithful with facts, their beliefs don’t rest on facts. By it’s very nature it’s about believing a story they were told when they were children. Before they knew most things had to be priced with facts

- Comment on How has Apple tricked so many people into believing that they "just need to get another Apple product"? 6 days ago:
I think there’s a neurotype of people who are more likely to have expendable income and have a certain view on how computers should work and also really seem to be concerned about appearance and social credit. Apple knows exactly who their customers are and cater exclusively to their customer base.
If you have any kind of bent towards getting more from less then you likely have existed in spaces devoid of resources. And are therefore not their target market
- Comment on Sony will kill PlayStation games on discs in 2028 and offer digital downloads only 1 week ago:
I’m really just talking about new aaa titles. Like sure they are shiny but there really hasn’t been a fundamental brand new type of gameplay that totally changed the game like new games used to. I mean going from nes to snes was a huge leap. Snes to n64 even larger. But even beyond the graphics there just hasn’t really been a brand new game changing mechanic since fortnite. Maybe that’s on me for not playing baldurs gate 3 but still

Yeah new games aren’t even that good anymore
- Comment on Sony will kill PlayStation games on discs in 2028 and offer digital downloads only 1 week ago:
Yup. Even Nintendo didn’t get rid of the cartridge. It’s like sure you save the physical costs and shipping ok. But the physical hold it in your hand-ness is magic. But it’s also passive advertising. I guess our carbon footprint will thank us tho.

- Comment on Why do people get mad at you for using Wikipedia, but treat Google and AI chatbots like they're gospel? 2 weeks ago:
Yeah, this is the answer. Lots of grade school teachers don’t continue learning because they were perfectly happy to just believe that nothing changes and they are the ones in a class that know stuff and their students don’t. You’ve had these teachers and they got mad at your questions when their answers conflicted. You know the ones. They say don’t quote wikipedia still

It sold 12 million on day 1. It was released on the Xbox and the ps3. There were about 80 mil of each console out at the time. There are only about 93 million ps 5s out right now.
I’d be surprised if the sell 7 million copies on day 1
