In this instance, yes, but which is why I said the cafe worker should have an internal bin for customer usage. In most other cases there is no one on site for weeks at a time.

It’s not like paper and plastic wrappers are heavy or bulky. Just hold onto it or put it your pocket until you get home or find a bin elsewhere.

Social media has made mad men of most of us, unfortunately.

Because that would mean employing someone to empty them regularly, and as most woodland is few and far between in this country most woodland owners deem that an unnecessary expense.

I used to work for the Woodland Trust and believe that this is the right thing to do. Bins in woodlands do not get emptied often and will often overflow and attract unwanted pests like rats. Rats will also eat the eggs of ground nesting birds and cause other environmental issues.
If they are selling food on site then the food vendor should have a bin that their customers can use inside their cabin/cafe and dispose of the waste daily as part of the service.

So what dude? Just because you don’t like or understand it doesn’t mean other people shouldn’t. He’s become a symbol for of rebellion for millions of people across the globe.
Che Guevara. Luke Skywalker. Robin Hood. Guy Fawkes. Neo. Katniss Everdeen. Joan of Arc. Fucking Moses FFS. All figures of rebellion. All standing up against oppression. All now considered heroes. Luigi Mancioni is now one of them. Just deal with it.

You’re only saying that because you don’t understand it.
- Comment on Luigi Mangione, accused of US CEO murder, depicted in London mural 1 week ago:
This is such a nonsensical take. It’s art. Just because we don’t have the same system here doesn’t mean people don’t understand or shouldn’t have opinions on it. Do you listen to American music? Watch American TV programs or films? If so, why? They transpose politics from the States and therefore should be avoided.
Everyone, no matter where they live, is entitled to their opinion. Even if it is nonsensical.

You are clearly someone who does not understand nuance.
- Comment on Luigi Mangione, accused of US CEO murder, depicted in London mural 1 week ago:
Are you being purposefully obtuse? You could say the exact same thing about Robin Hood.
It just goes to show how England brained America is. What business does America have making movies and TV shows about a 12th Century English folk hero? America hadn’t even been discovered in the 12th Century, how can you have context in the US for his actions?
It’s a story about a little guy who broke the law to stand up for the greater good while risking his own life to do so. That kind of heroism is borderless. Luigi Mangione may have killed one person but the person he killed was responsible for the death and chronic pain of thousands. I think we English understand that very well indeed.
- Comment on Official Discussion - Mickey 17 [SPOILERS] 2 weeks ago:
Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this movie. It was incoherent, with far too many ideas and political messages trying to be crammed into it’s run time.
It would have been better if Mark Ruffalo’s character was either just a politician or just a religious cult leader, although, on reflection, maybe this was commentary on Trump’s seemingly cult like following? Even if it was it didn’t work well in this movie.
Toni Collete was criminally wasted, her character more or less pointless other than to provide some, initially amusing but quickly tiring comic relief with her obsession with sauces.
Pattinson put in a good performance as the various Mickeys but none of them were particularly likeable. The exception being M18, who was supposed to be a vicious psychopath, but came across as the only one in the entire film who actually responded anywhere near reasonably to the situations he faced and ultimately proved to be the hero of the piece by offing the main protagonist, sacrificing himself in the process.
Ultimately, I feel that Mickey 17’s most serious flaw is that it was boring. I felt like there was no sense of peril, despite the situation, minor issues seemed to crop up and then be forgotten about or solved without any real hardship. Several of the twists and turns went nowhere or seemed to happen for no reason (Mickey’s temptation with Gemma for example). At no point did you think, “they might all die”, and it was all just a bit of a lark.
In summary, strong performances from all the leads (Ruffulo, Collete, Pattinson and Ackie) and strong visual design couldn’t save this film from being incoherent, unfunny and boring.
5/10
- Comment on 5 Reasons Why Mickey 17 Flopped At The Box Office - SlashFilm 2 weeks ago:
As a sci-fi nerd, film buff and leftist, this movie was pretty much made for me, but I only found out about it about 2 days before it was released. Seems to me that they didn’t push it at all. I only saw it because a friend of mine had a spare ticket.
Unfortunately, we found the movie boring, incoherent and, for the most part, unfunny. I really loved parasite so was very disappointed that this missed the mark so badly.
