Drove past some orchards yesterday in Somerset/ Devon. The ground is red with fallen apples. Rivers of them between the trees.

I live in Somerset and have three apple trees which are all absolutely laden with apples…

Good thing they are cider makers not apple growers

Where do you think the cider presses get their apples?
spacegoat@lemmy.world 1 week ago
Walmart

I don’t know what she’s talking about, I’ve got hundreds of apples from my two trees. They always produce loads of apples but this year has been insane.

Are the apples good? My plum tree has gone nuts too but its a) watered which a lot of orchards won’t be, and b) almost all the fruit is absolute shit or eaten to buggery.

My favorite brand is Dixon

1/4 of a century ago I went to a Somerset cider farm. It had apple trees and a big apple press and great cider for tasting. Out the back though they had hundreds of drums of apple juice concentrate made in Israel.

Do you have a source to back up this claim?

Saw it with her own eyes 😂.
Nah. She’s making it up.

Only my eyes.

Yeah this claim is totally unbelievable.
No one goes to Somerset.
