  I feel that of someone gets all emotional and veers away from reality, it’s best to give them an out and then leave them alone.

  They may be able to get over it, or maybe not, but nothing else is getting accomplished and all of us are going to die wrong about something.

  You should check out Orson Scott Card. He’s a Mormon, but seems to ascribe to something similar to the OP.

  He’s got a rama series and the enderverse where he explores all of that. Probably a lot more, but that’s all I’ve read.

  At some point his islamaphobia gets the better of him, but he has quite the body of work and can spin a yarn with the best of them.

  With one of those glass balls and a good light source I bet you could make it into a collaborative experience. Comparing asshole creases and talking about life and your hopes and dreams.
