Its the old bait and switch. Did you know that Federal Deposit Insurance can be paid out in a period of decades? They can make you ‘‘whole’’ over a period of time that can stretch over years. Technically you will not lose any money but practically you can die before you get your money.

I was recently thinking, this recruitment drive must be heaven for the common proud boys brownshirt.

An authoritarian typically keeps the military and police well-fed, or alternatively allows them to rob the plebs as they see fit. Otherwise bad things may happen to the emperor.
Unfortunately, Trump is likely to kick the bucket before he sees any blowback of that.

ICE had a signup bonus (dunno how much, $4000, I think?), and nobody received it yet.
The guy who is ‘famous for not paying’ is Trump, who has a history of being in debt/not paying his debts off.

Specifically not paying contractors. He would regularly hire contractors for jobs at Trump buildings/companies where it was x% up front and x% on completion. Then when they came for the completion percent he would just not pay and make them take him to court. Sometimes he paid, but other times they just couldn’t afford to litigate as long as he could so they’d get stiffed.

This is one thing I never understood… how does he keep getting away with it? Repeatedly screwing people over and over and over and over again and somehow no one doing shit about it?
He doesn’t just screw over workers, he does it for his business partners, too. Wealthy anf powerful people… people who can hire hitmen and also pay to make the evidence disappear. If they can kill Epstein why wouldn’t they have gotten rid of him in the 80s and 90s when he didn’t have as much power as he does now?
