That’s just a difference in government philosophy though. China owns most endeavours in its country, the USA outsources it to private enterprise and buys it back.

It was built cheap and efficiently, not to please the eye. It could certainly be better, and we know that our environ plays a bigger role in our outlooks than we did before. If they built it today, it would have a few more trees and green spaces but would maintain it’s very essence, which is a large domicile to house people for cheap.

All tech is used as such. You think Apple and Microsoft and Android aren’t selling your data to the government? Hmmm…

Yup. He cosplays a smart man. By buying smart ideas and pretending they are his. And then wrecking them. He’s as smart a man as trump is a good business man.

Yes, they had no concept of “owning land” because at the end of the day, that’s ridiculous.
- Comment on If the United States of America was renamed, what should it be? 2 days ago:
The continent is North America. The Americas are both the north and south continents. As a Canadian, I don’t give a rats ass. Just because Trump has the comprehension of a 3 year old we do t have to change things to make him feel comfortable. The are the United States of America, not the country of America. That’s just short form because it’s a mouthful otherwise.

Because they are actually illegal. Try telling that to the dictator in chief and his cronies. You have to follow laws for them to work.

- Comment on How to deal with agression? 3 weeks ago:
Meditation. I have anger issues, and I find first you must recognize it in yourself, then you can choose how to act. I walk away rather than get all riled up. I love a good argument, but sometimes you just shoot yourself in the foot when you start seeing red. Being able to find a meditative state will help you step back from the aggression when it arises in you

They can pretend they live there. It’s harder than you think. And legislation takes time that a new app development does not. It is also local, so you are talking about thousand of civic governments not in concert with each other, and often playing the game with rental properties themselves.
- Comment on We're going backwards 1 month ago:
Too many people who should not own and rent investment properties bought investment properties to rent as ABnBs. It broke the spirit of the thing, which was to rent space in your house, not a property used solely for that purpose.

I’ve been doing it my whole life. I chose not to use this power for evil, unlike some others I could mention. Because it’s a choice not to be a giant douche canoe just because you can.

- Comment on Insulin 1 month ago:
In Canada it is still considered expensive, but not even close to $800/month. It’s only considered expensive because most shit like that is free or a very nominal fee, but repeated need is what it is.
- Comment on Are platforms like reddit just "internet noise" and bots or just genuinely the darkest parts of humanity? 2 months ago:
Reddit is populated by a lot of bots. Most social media is. This is the new propaganda war and it’s been going on for well over a decade. The bots do drag people along with them, but it’s a lot of bots, man.

These aren’t coming out of nowhere however. They are obviously being exposed to new material through their education and then extrapolating into some new tangent. These aren’t epiphanies that just happen later in life unless you are working to understand these concepts. Not saying it can’t be done, it just hasn’t been done yet, and every generation builds upon the foundation of what came before it.

That sounds like inviting violence to me. Why are these righties always about violence. They “see” it everywhere but they are the ones doing the violence. It’s not even subtle, they think you are all morons.

It’s Nintendo property and they very much had a say in how it gets developed. Nintendo is not just a publisher.
