Linux is a system and a tool, Windows is a product. You don’t market high end precise machinery to everyday people, because it can be a pain. You sell them a product that is easy and simple.
Microsoft is trying to do both and failing at both horribly.

So does spending beyond your means. Give your kid a better life as you are able. Don’t sink your own ship to save a man overboard, there’s always a way.

- Comment on "Censorship" ☠️ 2 weeks ago:
There are a lot of arguments on the internet about it, your moral compass usually dictates where you land on it. Personally I think any sexualizing of a child (deliberately or not) is wrong, so the words carry the same meaning.
That said, in anime, it’s often used as a way for a kid to call an adult a pervert or a weirdo, the way kids call strangers names all the time. So there is a difference in tone between “go away weirdo” and “aren’t you that felon who got convicted for CSAM” but arguing the finer points of it doesn’t help your case from a moral ground.
Arguing over drawn vs real is like that joke about a pedophile vs an ephebophile, there is technically a difference, but knowing that and debating it makes you sound like a pedophile.

Had it happen with love death and robots too. I think if there’s a new season out it starts you on the 1st ep of the newest “complete” season, which is really annoying.

- Comment on America continues to fall behind the rest of the world 4 weeks ago:
Oh no I totally agree with you. Not saying it justifies it or even that the math makes sense, but it feels that a lot of times when you have people who dissent against universal healthcare the reason I stated is why.
- Comment on America continues to fall behind the rest of the world 4 weeks ago:
The problem is there’s a false scarcity. Healthcare is expensive for people in the US right now, so the idea of paying for someone else’s healthcare via universal healthcare doesn’t sound like a good thing, it sounds like taking the money you need for your healthcare to pay for someone else’s.
It’s NOT like that, but people have it in their heads that it is. And it’s very hard to change a made up mind when there are people rallying against it to protect their own private interests.

It just looks weird because of the perspective. The camera is basically next to their knee, aimed down the leg and their toes are pointed as well. That “dotted pattern” is just hair folicles.
- Comment on "rags"😍 1 month ago:
Honestly, it doesn’t really matter, the joke works without knowing who it is. But it looks like this was the singer “Jennie” from a Korean Girl Group called Blackpink. A lot of these groups will swap out members to keep the fame and fans of the group but allow talent to move on/retire, looks like Jennie is a new member and she’s doing so well because she was able to order her own Porsche. Yay for Jennie pulling herself up by her gold inlaid bootstraps.
- Comment on "rags"😍 1 month ago:
The joke is it’s “rags to riches” because she went from driving her mom’s Porsche (a luxury sports car brand) to having her own special ordered Porsche. If they’ve got a Porsche the only rags they’ve seen are the ones they use so they don’t have to touch poor people

“The dose makes the poison”, it’s not uncommon for water to be a little contaminated, but dishwashers are also supposed to get hot enough to sterilize the water being used to wash the dishes. So you might get a bit of piss in your dishwater, it’ll be sterile, and most of it will get carried away with the water being used to wash off the other junk before sterilizing and rinsing.

The biggest problem is that they didn’t even look. CoffeeZilla went “look it’s right here in YOUR spreadsheet” and you can see where they were like “wait what? It is? I didn’t know that.” And they seem to be genuinely surprised.
It’s not just that they fought it, it’s that they got called out and didn’t even have the decency to say “ya know what let’s double check to be sure” they just flat out doubled down on “nuh uh! we’ll sue your ass!” like a bunch of assholes.

While yes I get it, a lot of times in those communities moving out is still an option. People just don’t take it as often because it allows you to save easier. The problem now is it’s either “live at home, or move out and starve”, that’s not a pros and cons situation, that’s being held hostage by “investors”
- Comment on How to sexualize males for a female audience? 2 months ago:
Thinning on top with the “monk ring” style cut. Nothing gets the ladies going more.
But serious advice for guys, know when to just shave your head man. People like full heads of hair, people like bald, nobody likes thinning. Make the call and save yourself the embarrassment. Bald is beautiful.

I think you’re right, and like other people said “the tent” has become a sort of icon of the series.
I think it’s also from the “art direction” point of view, it also makes it appear as more of a “pop up contest”. They’re not going to an established venue, they’re saying “and here we are today at (location) for the British bake off!” It makes it feel more like a travelling “festival style” event like a local baking competition than a hard “we brought challengers to the Bake Off Challenge campus”. It feels more approachable when it looks like it could be “in your back yard” than in some far off studio.
- Comment on Your Truck is Stupid Big 2 months ago:
Well not only “big = more expensive” the larger engines also have lower efficiency requirements. It’s much easier to make cars bigger and more “chugging” because they don’t have to meet the efficiency standards and because it’s bigger they can charge more.

100% agreed. Like I said I think it should be legal regardless, the punishments are way too severe for what it is. But on a completely different note, we do still need the tests. I love drinking and I love smoking, but there are rules of the road, and one of those is “don’t drive the death machine with impaired judgement”.
But yes you’re right, the legality shouldn’t be based on if “but what if they drive”. I’m more saying “if you do some life-disregarding level ignorant” shit you’re still getting in trouble.

I don’t think this is “car brained”. They’re not saying anything around public transit, just that we need to have a test for DWI and weed. People shouldn’t be jailed for 30 years regardless of the presence of the test or not, but we do still need some other test. Otherwise I guarantee that “don’t drive while baked” will be the next infomercial you see in a few years.

There are also a fair number of scientists that believe there may be a higher power or an afterlife that still devoutly hold to scientific study. You can be a person of science and a person of faith. As long as you don’t deny science along the way then there’s no problem with that. Now if you don’t believe in evolution or something then yes your credentials are weakened significantly, but believing that there is a higher power beyond earth doesn’t mean your test results are invalid.

Not only that but both of them, Kirk and WBC, were experienced. Not at being good debators but at shutting down people who tried to prove them wrong. Even if they were wrong. They had months if not years built around defending a flawed view and shutting down naysayers. They regularly practiced all their tactics so most of the people they debated (regular students who had an opinion) weren’t ready for their tactics. You don’t have to outsmart your opponent or be correct, you just have to trip them up and make them publicly look foolish. These guys travel the country ragebaiting and begging people to call them out daily, they know how to dodge and redirect and speak over.
Once you stoop to their level, they beat you with experience. It doesn’t make them right.
Also I’m pretty sure half of WBCs old tactic was saying stuff that would get them punched and then suing.

There’s a lot of people in here talking about fitness, fasting, etc. but it really just comes down to calories in, calories out.
You have to acknowledge what you’re eating and what it does to your body. Calling out yourself, and the foods you eat.
All you need is:
- How many calories in a serving
- How big is a serving
- How many calories can I have today
- Self control
- Water

The correct response is to find out who is responsible for the chaining/closing and start chaining/closing their stuff. Randomly messing with another park doesn’t hurt anyone and just means another park is closed.

Specifically not paying contractors. He would regularly hire contractors for jobs at Trump buildings/companies where it was x% up front and x% on completion. Then when they came for the completion percent he would just not pay and make them take him to court. Sometimes he paid, but other times they just couldn’t afford to litigate as long as he could so they’d get stiffed.
