Every system eventually ends with someone corrupted with power and greed wanting more. Putin and his oligrachs, Trump and his oligarchs… Xi isn’t great, but at least I haven’t heard news about the Uyghurs situation for a couple of years now. Hope things are better there nowadays and people aren’t going missing anymore just for speaking out against their government.

Not every game needs an endless depth of lore that only those without jobs or have other things that fill up their days can dive into. Stardew Valley is a farming simulator, it doesn’t need hundreds or thousands of years of history for you to study up on, and thank the dieties it doesn’t. It meets the prompt provided in the original post.
Not bagging on people who enjoy deep lore in games, you do you, but I only get about 1-3 hours a week to play so that shit is not for me anymore. I need a game I can very easily pick up, get some shit done, and be okay putting it back down again before not too much time is up.

A videogame that was made with complete love and devotion to the medium, made with talent and sincerity, and is a pinnacle of everything it stands, something that will stand the test of time…
And nobody mentioned Stardew Valley? I spent too long looking for it and didn’t find a single mention of it. Absolute mastery of its genre, an incredible amount of dedication spent by the developer listening to the fans, and I can’t imagine it not still holding up 10 years from now, or even 20 years from now.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is great, I love it, but there were so many performance issues with the game even with top tier hardware, and the game was borderline unplayable for others due to these issues. I have a little bias since my save didn’t sync across devices with the steam cloud and I have to start all over. Love the game, but I just can’t believe Stardew Valley isn’t even mentioned.

And then for evenings and weekends, he has to: do chores around the house, fix shit instead of hiring someone else to do it, pay bills, contact businesses because they billed you incorrectly and you can’t afford to pay the extra hundred they’re charging you, go grocery shopping, meal prep, do taxes, and all the while be a good husband, father, and person who takes care of themselves.

Seems we have moved on from discussing the article. Agreed that the Dems handled the Israel/Palestine issue very poorly, and that’s an understatement, though specifically Biden and Harris - They should have been proper leaders against the atrocities that occurred, and others that didn’t stand up to make an anti-Israel stance showed their true colors and shouldn’t be allowed back into office.
Back on topic though, the entire Dem party is not kissing Elon’s ass. There was one in the article that did, but that’s it.
If you wish to make some change, you’ll need to learn how to stay on topic and not let your anger take over so easily. Others in the world won’t engage with you otherwise, and you’ll end up only preaching to the choir. At least you’ll be on the right side of history, so long as the history books are written accurately.

I’m not minimizing anything. Please do judge the individuals harshly. Just don’t throw others under the same judgement due to belonging to the same label, i.e. Dems. Not sure how that message didn’t go through last comment. Your rage is clouding reason.

I believe that people have the capability of committing wrong-doings, even atrocities, only to come around later and realize that they were in the wrong and can attempt to make up for it in life.
Do I believe that Elon Musk has redeemed himself? No. I do believe he has the capability to do so though, eventually. Do I believe that he should receive punishment for his wrongdoings? Yes. Same for Trump.
In regards to the statement about Dems siding with Nazis, don’t use labels to throw everyone under the same blanket and judge them all equally harshly. Everyone is an individual, and their actions should be judged as such. If there’s a Democrat that acted in such a way, by all means call them out and we’ll all hate on them together.
