Yeah I felt the same way when I saw it. Just kinda sobering, really. I’m learning Unreal Engine right now for work but I kinda wanna make an experience of a VR “game” where you’re just on a slowly-rotating rock in the void of space, like a stranded astronaut.

Anytime I can pet a cat in a game I usually take a 10-15 minute break (or just stop playing) to pet my cats irl. Something about petting a digital cat triggers me to appreciate my real cats right then and there.

I appreciate your clarifying what shouldn’t be put in the oven given the context of the community we’re in.
Plus I may have, at some point in my life, put a plastic (electric) kettle on a burner when my parents asked me to put the kettle on.

Do you happen to know if most microwaves throw a fit when they’re run while empty/with nothing to heat, or if it just some of them? I feel like i should’ve known that little factoid about them freaking out when running while empty by now.

I do, and I’m learning from this thread that that may be my solution.
Now to learn about what makes a plate oven-safe, though I’m sure it’s fine at the lowest temperature.

In a restaurant, they may just grab a plate that has just come out of the dishwasher since industrial dishwashers are really fucking hot.
I guess part of me knew this was the real reason the plates were hot and not because the diner warmed them up for me.

There’s like… only two sequels in theaters right now. Paddington 3 and Captain America 4. New IPs have sprouted up all the time with M3GAN, They Follow, (probably) Novocaine, Rebel Ridge.
There’s too wide of an array of things out there to make such a blanket, dismissive statement.

As a never-smoker who knows all the downsides to smoking, the one point I do concede about the habit is it DOES look very cool.
