When I peed my pants in them in the 2nd grade. My parents got some for me in high school, but they were so tight I could not wear them.

Looks a lot like my wardrobe, even the Chucks. Can’t quite find a cut like that anymore, but I love that wash. And, honestly, I like it when they get tattered by the heel.

  • FrostyCaveman@lemm.ee ⁨9⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

    Because they stopped making them!

They sucked though, the leg ends would always end up getting wet, muddy, and/or torn off

    source
    • hOrni@lemmy.world ⁨8⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

I really liked this cut, and would like them to come back. I used safety pins to keep the ends off the ground.

      • nightofmichelinstars@sopuli.xyz ⁨7⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

So you hemmed them to a more typical pant leg length?

Probably after we got tired of walking around with soaking ankles

      And absolutely shredded cuffs.

  • SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone ⁨12⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

Because they stopped making them and you couldn’t find them and skinny jeans were the in-thing.

I fucking hated it. I suddenly had to change my style whether I liked it or not.

I have several pants like this, they’re still common second-hand.

I just saw a high schooler wearing black ones when grabbing something to eat at the store.

      source
      • Coreidan@lemmy.world ⁨4⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

So what? We’ve had black jeans in this world for a long time. It’s not a new thing seeing people wear them

The last time I bought jeans they still looked like this. Granted it was 2003, but still.

  • frog_brawler@lemmy.world ⁨6⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

I see nothing unique about this pair of jeans.

I got tired of the torn up cuffs and jean cuffs are uncomfortable to walk on when you don’t have shoes on.

  • Venus_Ziegenfalle@feddit.org ⁨11⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

    They’ve started wearing them again

Hey now not everyone hates it. Some of us are entirely indifferent and don’t want to be involved in a war between the single two most stubborn idiots on the internet.

        Artists and tech dude bros.

Let us hide in peace and ignorance.

Dudes were tired of only ladies getting yeast infections and demanded some tight ass pants.

    source
  • Ilovethebomb@lemm.ee ⁨12⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

I really wish I could find comfortable jeans like that.

    source
    • hOrni@lemmy.world ⁨8⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

Well these days we have the stretchy ones. Originally I disliked them, as not real jeans, butI started to like them as soon as I got fat.

      source
  • daggermoon@lemmy.world ⁨9⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

How is this different from regular ass jeans?

    source
    • hOrni@lemmy.world ⁨8⁩ ⁨hours⁩ ago

These were the most regular in the 2010s. They are a bin narrower in the knees, and looser at the bottom. People liked to wear them longer, so that they wrinkled at the bottom.

You could not do sick kicks easily in them boys, or climb trees, I destroyed many a pair with my thick ass thighs.
