  The man managed to get offside with an entire town, his neighbours, his church, the council, the local paper. He was also dumping raw sewerage into a waterway, reneged on agreements to buy his workshop, and just in general sounds like a peach of a guy to be around.

  I’d say food is a bigger expense for many, depending on how much they drive and whether they’re paying the car off.

  If you include all groceries, so pet food, toiletries etc, I’d spend more on groceries than my car most years.

  You’re right about the infighting thing though, and it seems to be endemic to left leaning parties everywhere, whereas the right usually seem to be a much more cohesive team.
