But those with large endowments are some of the few who are resilient to Trump’s various demands.

Why do you wear them then? I would feel like my toes are all smooshed?

Quarter-past the hour, and quarter-till, are still common. Though perhaps less common as we move towards digital clocks.
- Comment on What does a week of groceries look like to you? 5 weeks ago:
Red peppers, tomatillos, fibrous cereal, milk and soy milk, yogurt/cottage cheese, tortilla chips, a bag of grapefruit when in season, wasa crackers, hummus, eggs / bread / tortillas when low, and whatever I’m making for lunch for the week. Sometimes salad stuff. Sometimes a bag of frozen veggie burgers and buns (to also be frozen).
- Comment on Did anyone else learn that "a group of cats is called a Whisper?" 5 weeks ago:
I remember reading through the list and thinking “wtf is a ‘clowder,’ hopefully they don’t mean ‘chowder*’”? That’s at least 20 years ago. I’ve never heard “whisper.”
*I have some familiarly with Boston, the land of “chowda,” which is not know to contain cats.
- Comment on How come in most school in the USA (at least mine) they teach Spain Spanish instead of Mexico Spanish? Would not Mexico Spanish be an obvious choice to teach? 5 weeks ago:
I had a teacher from Spain for three years, then for the next four years they were from various countries: Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and the US. It was great to get used to each accent.

Those vile frogs where the babies hatch out of the back of the mother. Do I have this phobia, or is that also the most unnerving thing YOU’ve ever seen?

My favorite is “Do you speak (language)… Please??”
- Comment on Does it make sense to buy a lifetime supply of honey? 1 month ago:
I’ll add that if you have all that honey, you might also eat more of it than you’d initially planned and run out sooner. Personally, I would start putting spoonfuls in my tea, using honey instead of jam, maybe experimenting with baking…

Not the revolution we need, but the revolution we’ve got 🤷

- Comment on Can I lose a beer belly working out one day a week? 2 months ago:
I know OP posted a specific question, but don’t forget that working out is incredibly good for your physical and mental health. You’ll feel stronger and more mentally resilient, and you can get rid of a surprising number of body pains.
You’ll also increase your energy levels, as counterintuitive as that seems.

That was from the exiting, not the annexing, but maybe it’ll smooth the transition anyway :)

Maybe soon they’ll annex, but currently no. RI might hope.
- Comment on Does the US really have no instruments in case a newly elected president immediatelly and openly exposes he's a nazi? 2 months ago:
Let’s go crowd sourced, a la Iceland. That truly opened my eyes to the political possibilities in the Internet age… If only big corps didn’t make all the decisions.

Yes… Something that’s actually difficult? I’m not sure what you’re asking.
- Comment on We need a new Amazon 3 months ago:
Find what you want on Amazon, look at reviews, and then go to the actual website of the producer and buy it directly from them. It’s not hard, it just takes an extra step.
You’ll probably buy less junk, too.
