The LLM generates software, freeing the programmer from having to write and debug the underlying code
Aaaaand this is the problem. Sure, go ahead and let the slop machine generate the code, but you definitely have to debug that shit.

Is almost like rampant breeding without any environmental pressures causes a decline in the traits that evolved to deal with those pressures. AKA, Idiocracy has happened because we’re too soft to tell people to stop fucking. “Having babies is a Gawd-given right! You can’t take away muh freedums!” Most people shouldn’t be breeding, the species weeps when ~90% of us give birth.

Not just Lemmy, dude. Go out into the world and you’ll hear the same sentiment straight from human mouths.
In this case, the “dangerously toxic” thing going on here is the US healthcare system. It’s broken and everyone knows it. Apparently, no amount of complaining, begging, and letters to Congress are going to fix it so, here we are. It speaks volumes to me that even after the fucked up election this year, dems AND pubs are backing this HERO.
You might not like it but we seem to be in a spot where the talking has failed so the killing (or at least the threat of it) must begin.

No Man’s Sky has some impressive storms. They change depending on the planet, and a recent update (still updated for free since 2016, btw) added a bunch of new atmospheric effects. Some storms have winds strong enough to throw around and, in some cases, off the planet.

So, we’re destined to make new words for colors because all the color words we have now are taboo?
Blackmail was used in England and Scotland to describe money paid by tenant farmers to a chieftan: history.com/…/where-did-the-word-blackmail-come-f…
Black sheep literally comes from black sheep. That one is really obvious… www.etymonline.com/word/black sheep
Black market was more associated with anarchists that used black as their color than actual black people. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_market
The goal here shouldn’t be changing peoples’ view on the concepts of white/black. We need to stop people from using those words to describe people. People (outside rare cases) are not BLACK or WHITE or YELLOW or RED, or… how about we use actual people names for people?
White and black as colors and concepts are too important to have to tippy-toe around. If something is black, I should be able to say so without getting internet-spanked. Etymology means something regardless of what anybody thinks. You can’t just make something racist because it has a color word in it.
Can everybody just stop looking for things to be mad about for a hot minute?
