That’s much more than mildly.

I mean, it’s called a meatball sandwich, not a meatballs sandwich. You’re lucky you got two of them! /s
NoForwadSlashS@piefed.social 2 weeks ago
It looks like there’s 3 to me. Practically gluttony.
_stranger_@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
I ate at a restaurant that did this once. The kids menu had “spaghetti with meatball” which they got a kick out of.
It was the size of my fist. They served my children single-digit age children like a 3/4lb meatball each. They still tell tales of the legendary meatball to this day.

MaliciousCompliance
Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Well it’s got one meatball. Serves you right for not ordering the meatballs sandwich.
CobraCommander@quokk.au 2 weeks ago
Looks like 3 meatballs to me?
PR3CiSiON@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
No, those are meat ellipsoids. Only one of them qualifies as a ball.
Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 2 weeks ago
That’s not a sandwich. That’s a piece of bread that got fucking trafficked.
snausagesinablanket@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
ServantOfRa@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 weeks ago
Where to even start… Pathetic, overpriced and I doubt that the quality of the ‘meat’ balls meet even supermarket quality, or even IKEA. The garnish should be beetroot salad and the bread a baguette. At a minimum.
A crime against common decency, a culinary affront and a cultural offence.
tigermountain@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
So someone decided that this is the sandwich they would sell to the public and said this is fine?
heartSagan5@lemmy.zip 2 weeks ago
If it had more meatballs, sauce and such, it has a chance. But the picture is sad and dismal, why not complain?
Pollo_Jack@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Billionaire stadium owner showing how much he cares about the fans.
TaeKwonDoh@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Non-existent portion aside, that looks disgusting.
mirshafie@europe.pub 2 weeks ago
As a Swedish person I have no idea what that white goo is. I wouldn’t touch it, and also I wouldn’t touch that bread.
njordomir@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Fair enough. American bread is a step above styrofoam.
titanicx@lemmy.zip 2 weeks ago
I think it’s a version of swedish meatballs.
ramius345@sh.itjust.works 2 weeks ago
That’s just some bread with jizz on it
Senseless@feddit.org 2 weeks ago
And pickles! Jizz 'n Pickles would be a wild band name.
Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 2 weeks ago
Must be a ska band
underscores@lemmy.zip 2 weeks ago
that bread looks like foam
Sharkticon@lemmy.zip 2 weeks ago
Frankly I think this would justify homicide
CombatWombat@feddit.online 2 weeks ago
Also mildly infuriating is the lack of crosspost button so I can add this to !mls@lemmy.world — I guess it only appears when the post originates from a piefed instance?
OryxAndCake@slrpnk.net 2 weeks ago
There’s federation issues between piefed and lemmy currently. It’s not like this normally.
cannedtuna@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Crossposts is definitely an option for Lemmy posts as well. What client are you using?
ColdWater@lemmy.ca 2 weeks ago
This might give you botulism
criticon@lemmy.ca 2 weeks ago
This would be “midly” if it was a $5 gas station sub
southsamurai@sh.itjust.works 2 weeks ago
Assuming that’s real, it would be totally justified to throw it against the wall and demand a real sandwich
Speiser0@feddit.org 2 weeks ago
Syndication@lemmy.today 2 weeks ago
Nahhhh please tell me the guy bought it back and asked for a refund, because that’s terrible even for stadium food lmao
Kolanaki@pawb.social 2 weeks ago
To be fair, it only said “meatball” and there’s at lesst two of them instead of only 1.
ArmchairAce1944@discuss.online 2 weeks ago
At this point they are trying to insult you.
razen@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
What the heck is this shit!!just make ur own at this point

Feeding this little is a war crime in more civilized societies.
adarza@lemmy.ca 2 weeks ago
mildly?
gergolippai@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
#technicallycorrect
RBWells@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
What is that even supposed to be? Even if the bread was full of whatever that is it would look disturbing.
_lilith@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
no no that’s a mistake, they can fix it or take it back that’s just insulting
TIEPilot@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
I dislike shrinkflation, but this is egregious!
n7gifmdn@lemmy.ca 2 weeks ago
Lol
dejected_warp_core@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Meatball sandwich. Singular. One meatball.
Technically correct, but legitimately rage inducing if this is really what you get for 15 quid.
M137@lemmy.today 2 weeks ago
Swede here, no one in Sweden has ever served meatballs with white sauce of any kind (no idea what it is) and dill… Highly doubt the meatball ingredients are even close to correct either.
n7gifmdn@lemmy.ca 2 weeks ago
It’s Minnesota, they are more scandanavian than Scandinavia, I don’t trust you
AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Any food in the US that’s qualified with <nationality> will typically baffle anyone of said nationality.
Soggy@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
That’s true in every country, you should see “pizza Americana” or “American fried rice”.
ServantOfRa@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 weeks ago
Can verify, extremely baffled.
SirHaxalot@nord.pub 2 weeks ago
bet it’s the same cum they put on their cinnamon buns
whaleross@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
If you served this in Sweden you’d get angry side glances and passive aggressive snorts.
01189998819991197253@infosec.pub 2 weeks ago
I’m assuming the same can be said about USA with this particular sandwich lol
VibeSurgeon@piefed.social 2 weeks ago
My bet would be just plain confusion - “why are you calling them Swedish meatballs if you don’t make them like meatballs are made in Sweden?”
agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works 2 weeks ago
Looks like a Polish thing, pulpety w sosie koperkowym.
kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Seems like they probably skipped the broth. Looks basically just beschemel, though, being generous, it may have a bit of mustard, sour cream, and/or some herbs mixed in.
