Miles and miles of stroads!
CanadianCarl@sh.itjust.works 3 weeks ago
Kilometres, this isn’t a London, from the states.
Return_of_Chippy@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
God that guy sucks.
orioler25@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
But, correct about London Ontario’s horrible infrastructure and city planning.

How much big auto paying you? j/k
While I generally agree with NJB, he does get a little carried away. He is passionate for sure.
orioler25@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
He’s quite gracious, all things considered.
Telodzrum@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Yeah, it’s great.
okwhateverdude@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
TIL, I had no clue Ryan Gosling came from Fake London, an obvious shithole.
Return_of_Chippy@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Hurtful
okwhateverdude@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Oh I’m sorry, did I offend you and your love of concrete hellscapes full of gas stations, strip malls; lining endless stroads with wide lanes clogged with penis enhancing oversized, non-hauling trucks. Truly a modern marvel of urban design that is inviting for living-- not.
Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 3 weeks ago
McDonald’s is not a positive.
lightnsfw@reddthat.com 3 weeks ago
None of those things are particularly positive.
Return_of_Chippy@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
False
Ariselas@piefed.ca 3 weeks ago
don’t forget that stopping for red lights is optional in Southern Ontario
jownz@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Yellow means speed up!
orioler25@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
I wish, there’s always some dickhead whose liable to make you tbone them if you try because they think they’re more important.

I didnt know ryan gosling was born in fake london, thats insane actually
LodeMike@lemmy.today 3 weeks ago
Canadians are more similar to Americans than Americans are similar to Americans. He’s also an actor so he’s trained to sound like a Californian.
AI_toothbrush@lemmy.zip 2 weeks ago
Oh i knew he was canadian but didnt know it was fake london
Dicska@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Later on he had moved to Cornwall. Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. BTW AFAIK Celine Dion and Rachel McAdams were born there, too. I’d guess OP (or whoever originally made this meme) also heard it from No such thing as a Fish.
Nalivai@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
When people talk money, do they just say the word money, make coin noises, or just list world currencies? I need to know to blend in
Return_of_Chippy@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Yes
Nalivai@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago

The reason people hate America… well. One reason people hate the United States of America is that (some) Americans don’t know that Canada is a different country.
BigDiction@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Huh? This is England v Canada beef
mechoman444@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Ryan Gosling was born in Canada, wasn’t he… Well I feel foolish.
ParadoxSeahorse@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Yes, there are lots of beautiful places in the Americas, people just don’t like the USA, the country.
They are probably better off just going to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean instead and skipping the USA politics.
Skullgrid@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
I’m amazed there isn’t a New London.
But then again, why would you leave the original london and go anywhere?
kat_angstrom@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
There are 15 "New London"s in the USA, plus others in Canada, Bermuda, and Norway, it turns out
MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 3 weeks ago
There’s also a London on a random Atoll i’ve found on Wikipedia last week. It’s a banana plantage.
Return_of_Chippy@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
New London is a shitty town in Connecticut
MrChewy@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
More about other comments than the post itself: why are everyone so aggressive here, what the hell?? 😭
Return_of_Chippy@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Well… maybe its me and the terrible environment I create in some of my shitposts. It’s like casting an AOE poison spell when I say X thing everyone here likes is bad. Tends to create a somewhat hostile comment section. Maybe it’s that a ton of people on Lemmy believe everything they think is objectively correct.
But_my_mom_says_im_cool@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Worst place about living in London Ontario. You’re living in London Ontario
orioler25@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Yeah, a mom from London Ontario would tell their kid this is cool.
ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Why does the text have that AI glow?

Ryan gosling
BurntWits@sh.itjust.works 3 weeks ago
I can spot your account a mile away. (That’s a good thing)
Also London Ontario has some nice areas and some shitty areas like anywhere else but it’s not a bad city all in all. I don’t think I’d move there but I’ve been many times and it’s alright.
orioler25@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Guess it depends on your favourite strip mall.
FluidBeef@quokk.au 3 weeks ago
Bean toast sounds more like something Mexican London would have.
Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
One solitary bean on toast sounds like a fad diet.
RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Also, Space Mom lives there.
redparadise@lemmy.ml 3 weeks ago
I didn’t even read the title and concluded, they’re both hell?
rabber@lemmy.ca 3 weeks ago
We should just build a wall around onterrible so they can’t leak in to other provinces anymore
ivanafterall@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Tell me you’ve never been to London, Kentucky without telling me you’ve never been to London, Kentucky.
Just a little more slice of heaven for the rest of us, I suppose.

PhoenixDog@lemmy.world 2 weeks ago
Why would anyone volunteer to go anywhere in Kentucky?
M0oP0o@mander.xyz 2 weeks ago
Ah yes, London Onterrible the place that is known for their escorts and CHEAPSIDE St. Also getting stuck for ever at a train crossing.
fonix232@fedia.io 3 weeks ago
Funny thing is... there's 10+ McDonald's' within walking distance of Big Ben.
wreckedcarzz@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
As an American, you vastly overestimate the radius of ‘walking distance’ from a given point
fonix232@fedia.io 3 weeks ago
These are all distances I've walked a number of times... often drunk.
MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 3 weeks ago
10 minutes, otherwise you’d take a bus.
HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 3 weeks ago
Yeah but how many Ryan goslings are there
