I meant more so neutrally in the sense of people in general having subjective takes and experiences and as such neither chart being the objective universal truth. If in your view potatoes are disgusting and in mine they aren’t and we replace ‘potatoes’ with [insert whatever thing we’re talking about], it ultimatelly does come down to a personal view of things.
If taxes are our topic, I wouldn’t think of the view on them as binary in the first place as either theft or not. Which government? How does the government handle said taxes, as in, what does it do with them? If it’s a corrupt nation where most taxes go to middlemen and criminal politicians stuffing their pockets that put some taxes into community services symbolically to not be as blatant, yes - it is theft; if it’s a responsible government actively trying to improve things and maintain what is already proper, then no, it isn’t. And even then, taxes being stolen or not depends on how they’re used by each government segment rather than the whole government as a whole - since it’s not binary either theft or not.

I get that perhaps you didn’t know, but please don’t do that again, it’s way more inhumane than you probably think - though I get what that wouldn’t be intuitive at all. Your playing with the pufferfish is better only compared to how dolphins play with pufferfish which is somehow still worse than how orcas literally explode spongefish (and I mean it very literally) (that’s the torture levels that you’re competing with). Again, I understand you maybe didn’t know, but it’s generally a good rule of thumb to look up nature stuff you might stumble upon and interact with if you don’t know much about it.

I don’t know what I’m more annoyed at. That you confused Doc from back to the future with Einstein or that as I’ve now seen “speach”, I can’t help but “ew” at “speech” despite first time ever hearing of “speach”. “Speach” is SO much better Dx

More about other comments than the post itself: why are everyone so aggressive here, what the hell?? 😭

To be quite honest, the other interaction were kinda… oof, but this one in particular was done pretty healthily. It’s very easy to seem like a jerk when one cares about something deeply and it gets violated. But still, more the reason to encourage healthy communication and openness and understanding even while angry without compromising on the care <3

Tbf, we don’t know when the NFT was bought. I firmly believe that people have the right to be dumb, especially as kids. His dad making fun of the NFT, depending on when it was, is also a show of “you were dumb as shit”, a sentence which emphassises “were” - which is past tense. “Comparatively to your present self, you were dumb” which ‘inverted’ is also “Comparatively to your past self, you are smart(er)” and they should be proud of themselves for their personal development and growth.
For clarity, no matter when one buys an NFT, it’s just a dumb thing to do, not saying otherwise; I’m approaching this exclusively from an emotional standpoint to ‘when’ someone does something stupid and ‘whether’ they ‘grew out of it’.

I thank you both for making an example of healthy communication while being upset. I come from a household where the way “adults” were communicating anger thought me nothing but “anger = bad” and really struggled to see otherwise. While I have defeated that mind bug of mine, I still do highly appreciate examples that would’ve helped me in the past in understanding that there might be someone reading your exchange from the spot I was in. <3
