The live cam did nothing wrong. Its an objective observer.
The Orcas are simply accepting our terms of war.
quarkquasar@lemmy.world 22 hours ago
As a representative of the Orcas, let me just say: There is a lot more surface of this planet that is water than there is land, a lot more.

Moreover, the acoustic failure detection sensors seemed to have worked, *but the process failed since they didn't know what to look for since they didn't do any testing.

No it didn’t. Its best would have been to collapse above water

No, it’s best would have been to crush more rich people.

Seriously, we have multiple economists saying the only way out of this fine mess (and to save the world) is to massively redistribute the wealth at the top to the rest of the population.
FoxtrotDeltaTango@sh.itjust.works 1 day ago
Yeah, as someone studying economics, I agree
Having a small group of people hoarding the money is bad actually
HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 day ago
I’m an economist (I have a degree and everything. It’s in underwater basket weaving but it’s still a degree) and I say this
uriel238@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 day ago
To be fair, when I took Economics 101: Macroeconomics in 1985, there was a big point about how important it was to maintain a fairly even wealth distribution, with a discussion of how it is a very bad thing™ for all the wealth to consolidate at the top. (In the meantime, Reagan was gutting all the policies that were used to keep wealth distributed and preserve a strong middle class.) So this is something that anyone who took a basic college course should know.
In time, I got confused that presidents and legislators kept pushing supply side (trickle-down) economics and kept passing laws that allowed the upper class to keep more of their money, while leaving the lower and middle classes to languish, when I was certain these officials were educated (or had experts who were) and should know better. Then I worked out that they are just captured and corrupt AF.

they flipped a yacht
No_Ones_Slick_Like_Gaston@lemmy.world 22 hours ago
Several, but more. Importantly, they developed a “game” where teenage teach other teenage Orcas they can sink them. Is about their solidarity against these money pits.

I prefer my billionaires to be sacrificed to The One Who Stirs Under the Mountain. We must keep the The One Who Stirs Under the Mountain content.

More than what we plebs seem to be doing about the parasite class, tbh.

Fair. My only reason for not doing more is that not enough people would join me to make it anything but a fancy way to commit suicide. Someone let me know when the vanguard starts to assemble!

Luigi Mangione.

He will go free as he didn’t do it, additionally the chain of custody was missing for the “proof” and was taken into custody with lots of circumstantional evidence, absolute police knee bent operation to please the Epstein elite.
Hell be free, then run for office and I’ll campaign the hell out of that, vote Luigi for senate, then president of the. US.

A not-yet-convicted murderer
stephan262@lemmy.world 1 day ago
People were happy about the killing of Brian Thompson the moment that news of his death spread. A health insurance CEO. A man who systematically denied healthcare to thousands of people, almost certainly leading to some of them dying.
You can say that murder is wrong, and be correct in that. But then surely being instrumental in running a system of denying and delaying people’s access to medical treatment leading to their death is so much worse that directly killing one person.
VoteNixon2016@lemmy.blahaj.zone 23 hours ago
Tell me you’re an insurance company executive without telling me you’re an insurance company executive
Caesium@lemmy.world 1 day ago
I still believe he’s a look-alike scapegoat because they never found the actual guy who did it, but yeah go off I guess. Not like the CEO was responsible for millions of deaths himself but because it’s a ‘business’ he gets to be called an entrepreneur instead :)

not-yet-convicted murderer
Using lethal force to stop a mass murderer from continuing their spree isn’t murder.
Even if he’d done it (which he didn’t), it wouldn’t be murder, he should be given a public commendation, not a jail sentence.
jontree255@lemmy.world 1 day ago
Luigi was in Nov/Dec though
SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 1 day ago
4 December 2024. I remember because right after reading about it, I took my wife to her chemo appointment that had been repeatedly pushed back due to health insurance fuckery.

PP_BOY_@lemmy.world 1 day ago
A specific pod of them was attacking yachts in the north Atlantic and training others to do the same last summer IIRC

Goddamn that’s so cool.
turdas@suppo.fi 1 day ago
They’re not attacking billionaire yachts though, instead it’s small sailing boats. Some of those are probably owned by fairly rich people, but probably not that rich.
