  Yea. I had to explain that they didn’t have LED screens back then to my daughter and that is why TVs were so big. It broke her mind to learn that the blue (and thus white) LED came way after the Red and Green.

  As an 80s kid I can confirm that seeing him with the TV laying on him like that was weird as hell, even back then. We had small 6 inch screen portable TVs that would have worked for the scene … something like the one Depp is using would just go on a table beside the bad.

  Yes, but the US no vote was an automatic veto. They had to remove anything that affected the US and then get all the other UN members to vote on it just to get it to pass. Any P5 nation with veto power can pull the teeth out of a UN resolution.

  A “no” vote from a P5 is always a veto. When any of the P5 vote “no” in the Council, a resolution cannot move forward. Council members can, however, resolve their differences and propose new drafts for a vote by the Council. They can also call on a vote from the wider UN membership – the 193 Member States that make up the General Assembly (GA).

  Free speech is vanishing in the US, and it is being done in the form of “advertising”. You can’t say death, murder, or suicide in videos and a lot of forums … it makes advertisers sad, so you need to use baby-style code words. Remember when you were a kid and had to say “fudge” instead of saying “fuck”? Same thing.
