- Comment on Did anyone really think the Final Fantasy 7 remake was better than the original PS1 version? 4 days ago:
At the time their modern formula appeared on PS2 (Persona 3&4), they were a welcome change of tone and design in a market dominated by Final Fantasy-ish operatic jrpgs.
They’re obvioulsy milking it now, which make the apparition of Expedition 33 and other -indie- JRPGs a very good sign to me. I’d love a remake of Vagrant Story or Koudelka, too…

Completely agree

I actually enjoyed that, and it was foreshadowed, but i’d also defy anybody to explain FF7 Remake’s scenario to me in a way that’d make it clear XD

Your expedition 33 experience is relatable, actually. They’ve made a Jrpg so well they even got the “let the scenario become confusing as fuck” part right.
Like FF7 remake 1&2 :) Or Kingdom Hearts.
I think what you like about FF7 remake is that it is not a JRPG, but an action-rpg. I’ll say it’s a good one on that aspect, I just hated the generic ubisoft open-world design with tons of boring minigames as fillers for badly paced/light novel narrative beats.
I do love Persona 5 OST but yeah, there is an overdose at some point. Expedition 33 avoids that by having a specific OST for each zone of the game.
I have no specific action-rpg to recommend in mind, except kingdom hearts 2 if you feel like going a bit retro.

Ff7 remake is 100% fan-service AAA slop. Play real jRPGs, play Persona5, Expedition 33, play the original, but not that brain-rotting time-stealing remake, it’s an insult to life itself.
Although I admit it was a very pretty game. Now all they have to do is take their precious game engine and make a real game out of it.

Tried it 🏴☠️, they seem to have gone for “It’s bigger than the first one!” and indeed it is. Big, empty spaces to run through with nothing happening. Uninstalled. 70€ saved.
Stop making huge environments full of nothing.

Lol, no, sorry to say that, but your grandma was a collaborationist and she most certainly knew what was happening, she surely just pretended otherwise to escape judgement.

Ok, I am french and let me just WT absolute F you right there like a Skyrim guard would, you criminal scum.
In France, a government is the group of ministers managed by the Prime Minister. A government can be overthrown by the parliament through votes in certain circumstances, such as “The Prime minister using the article 49.3 of the Constitution to force a law to pass without a parliament vote”, which is undemocratic AF. Doing so, the Prime Minister claiming article 49.3 actually engages the responsibility of his government (his group of appointed ministers) and exposes himself and his minister to a parliament censorship vote.
So, basically, a prime minister and his ministers can fuck around and find out.
The Prime Minister is chosen by the President. The President dictates the policies that his Prime Minister’s government should submit to the Parliament, so they would vote it as law, modify it or reject it. Then, this law is voted again in our Senate (a bunch of ancient, privileged pigs in silk), which can also block it.
So, the Senate mostly goes along with Macron. There is resistance at the Parliament. The Parliament can seize some opportunities to fire a government, but the next Prime Minister is appointed by the president anyway.
So, our President and his party are using Prime Ministers as expandable Kleenex for his little bourgeois-authoritarian tantrums. In order to cling to power, he’s put himself in cahoot with the right and the far-right, into making the people support him “or else the far-right would reign”. The public media, in which his party has put his pets -and other private parties- constantly broadcast some kind of bullshit Islamophobic propaganda to make the far-right rise. Such propaganda is only a pretense to maintain a climate of fear and division in the People. It is used to mask and distract from all the outrageous laws and measures the President wants to see applied… and also to slander and paint the French Left as unpatriotic, a public enemy (“islamo-leftism” in state propaganda is the new nazi “enemy from inside”/“judeo-bolsheviks”, like it was just before WWII), etc etc. Sound familiar? It is.
As in the US, the dominant classes want to restrict our freedoms, our social rights, our work rights, etc etc by allying with fascism if necessary when we start to wake up.
It’s all a very fucked-up strategy, because this little presidential cunt has been so in indirect support of the far-right’s obsessions that there is a risk France would elect our equivalent of Trump at the next presidential election.
As for the Prime Minister Bayrou in particular, this incompetent turd was thrown out mostly after having been exposed for covering a gigantic pedocriminal case (in a catholic school [faking_surprise.gif]) to advance his career.
France is in a dire State, it is true, but it has NOTHING to do with the Muslim community, it has to do with the moral bankruptcy of our upper classes, as it is all around the world.
Macron is a nuisance and is the most hated president of the 5th French Republic. Nothing that happens to him or to one of his governments should ever be considered as bad news (quite the contrary). The islamophobic atmosphere is fed by white supremacists who own the medias. All that to maintain the shitty capitalist system in crisis we currently live in and to maintain the parasitic privileges of the upper classes, even if the price is be the future of the younger generations, up to the fucking planet.
So, “for the ones who come after” as they say, please do decapitate your kings and do not listen to corporate media.

- Comment on Oblivion remake is... really making it apparent how outdated Bethesda is in its approach to making games 1 month ago:
I agree with OP, and it really became blatant when Starfield got out. Their design patterns and game engine have not evolved with the industry standards, and they don’t seem to have understood that. Fortunately, there are alternatives, like the Outer Worlds, Tainted Grail, etc. I guess the alternatives will become more and more interesting with time, as those game have showed that it was possible to do Bethesda-ish games without the shortcomings (and lies) of Bethesda.
- Comment on What's it going to take to truly stop the US? 1 month ago:
Unfortunately, nothing will happen, as nobody has done anything despite the Epstein files, the deportations and externalized concentration camps, the Capitol, the international bullying and racket, etc. Trump serves the interest of the filthy rich, is backed by tech nazies and other kind of moguls (and p3d0s) and commands the most powerful army in the world. His attack on Venezuela is even approved by libs. And even if Trump himself was somehow unalived, the entire system that allowed his rise to power would still be there. The
naziestrumpists would still be there.Better just declare the American hegemony dead and disengage from any form of partnership with the USA. At least, Trump has the merit of exposing the USA for what they truly are : an alienating, morally bankrupt nation and fascist empire.
