Hello lovelies, I am a (trans)Woman who is still in the process of discovering herself!
I have been working up the courage to be who I am for so long, I am excited to be figuring things out.
Pre-HRT, pre-fashion-sense, and pre-confidence.
Any and all tips and advice from more experienced women are welcome!

I don’t think I’d ever try it, given how the air currents would probably rip a viper to shreds.
But you can’t beat that cool factor.

I actually haven’t watched PIC or ST:A and I don’t think I will. The tones of the first episodes just don’t vibe with me, but I’m glad others enjoy them. I absolutely love SNW and LD. DISC is okay as an alternate universe starfleet, although I have my issues with certain things (like ship size… Oof)
I already want a more action-oriented dominion war era show, so I could get behind a concurrent medical drama on the front lines, crossover episode once or twice and all that.
I disagree that the main driving force of a medical show is lack of resources, as Grail said, HOUSE, MD is a good example of. Also I have seen a bit of early Grey’s anatomy and I didn’t notice lack of resources. But also as gedfromgont said, a Voyager type show where they’re cut off from starfleet would totally work to keep their resources limited. Make it a medical ship or station, and you’re set! Give them that “year of hell” feeling from Voyager.

Galactica '03 is one of those shows I’d say is as perfect as can be.
I get all giddy every time I see them use inertia instead of “ww2 dogfighting but in space”.
<episode spoilers>
The one episode where they shoot the absolute fuck out of the clone ship by doing a flyby and rotating 90 degrees to coast past the sides… chef’s kiss

As much fun as that might be, I think I’d rather see them climb the ladder and be mid-level officers. They still have to deal with senior officers but they also have a lot more responsibilities.

It’s an “X” to indicate incorrect answer. The teacher has 100+ papers to grade and a lesson plan to get together for tomorrow and doesn’t have time to make their marks look pretty.

Lol that was my comment about Col. Carter.
I would absolutely love to see researchers with military and exploration experience getting their hands dirty with new tech.

I was thinking more “Middle Decks!” but essentially yes. Same vibes. Probably slightly less real alcohol than the usual LD gathering.

I want more lower Decks, but like… After a few years have passed. The main cast are still on the same ship (even if not the cerritos, but seeing them at slightly higher ranks with Ransom in command would be interesting) but I also think the show ended in a good place.
I REALLY want to see some TV-MA style section 31 show. Especially if we aren’t sure if the main cast are actually the bad guys or not. Anti-hero style, but like… Actual anti-hero, not “good guy but they swear” type.
Also I’m sure they could make a medical drama, although I doubt I’d watch it… Heck, set it on the USS Pasteur with an older Dr crusher in charge.
Ooh a more action-oriented show following a crew during the dominion war would be awesome.
And set up a 24/7 livestream following the crew of the Lower Decks in a Borg ship. I’m sure it would be riveting

Toblerone has famously been shrinkflating their product for some time.
I remember seeing a comparison post many years ago of a modern one vs one that had been bought years ago and rediscovered in a closet or drawer or something. The older ones had thicker spikes.

Missed opportunity, really
- Comment on GOG seemingly shares that they are considering physical PC 'big box' games. Maybe? 1 week ago:
I don’t have the fancy boxes and art, but I’ve been taking all my offline installers and burning them on cds and dvds.
My little USB disc drive has been working overtime this year.
I’m hoping to get a desktop with cd storage framing the monitor like I used to have.
Practical? Not really. I just think it’s neat.

Slowly.
Seriously.
All you need is to make the ice freeze slowly, and when it’s all frozen you just melt off the not clear part and you’ve got clear cubes.
You could also set your freezer to just below freezing and achieve similar results.

Well how else do you expect them to be indignant about something?
Everyone who is willing to go through a boring routine procedure that doesn’t adversely affect their lives moving forward should be willing to face potential lifelong complications, medications, and pain, (not to mention potential death from any number of things from surgery to simply existing with one kidney) in order to give someone else half of their kidneys or else they’re a piece of shit.

They’ll happily use it for things that paint any of their chosen “western” countries in a negative way while happily ignoring any that do the same for their obsession countries. It’s totally not hypocritical.

Wikipedia has quite strict rules on who cam edit what, and what can be changed, especially on major articles.
Besides, you follow the sources the Wikipedia article uses and cite those things. Not cite Wikipedia itself

Lmao why do you think there are corpses filling it?
they’re too busy playing by the rules and getting killed with nobody caring, because “we’re better than all that” is a dumb notion that ultimately makes you a pushover that wouldn’t pull the trigger to save 1000 people.

- Comment on Steam Machine pricing announced (from $1049-$1428 USD), reservation lists open 2 weeks ago:
Your guess is as good as mine. I assumed it would be similarly priced to my pre-built laptop cost, which was around 1300-1400.
I’m mildly surprised it hasn’t rise more in the last 2-3 months, but I assume that’s part of why v/ram is a little on the low side. From my understanding, most of the games that would be playable on it don’t need tons of ram, since they’re better optimized on Linux.

Well, guess I’m sticking with an old laptop and console for the foreeable future.
I wonder how all the people I know are gonna take this, considering they’ve been rubbing “pc specs at console price” for who knows how long…

You can ship it to yourself quite easily if you follow customs regs.
Easier if you sneak it in with cargo that just gets tossed on a truck as soon as it comes in. That’s cheaper but riskier though.

Maybe it’s just me, but when someone says “mountain climbing” I assume actual climbing takea place.
Not a leisurely stroll on a hiking trail.
I think the fact that most people are acting as though they expect actual climbing as well is enough to say the general thought of mountain climbing is not to hike a trail to the top.
